So, if New Order truly has a new lp already set to go....

Why don't they test out any new material from it at these live gigs????

I mean, they used to play songs live prior to release...

Which is why I don't believe it is already done, lyrics and all.... or they'd be excited about the new stuff (anyone would be, but especially the creators) and be playing at least something off it....

perhaps they're concerned about bootlegging? recent comments suggest they don't care about live shows being booted but if there were unreleased material on those tapes, perhaps they would care?

the other major factor is: New Order don't take chances in the live arena and they've only got so much time to play and too many Hits and new ones from WFTSC to promote. Simply put, there's not enough time to play it all, particularly songs no one's heard.

Again, this isn't New Order of old, this is the NEW newOrder. Everyone expects them to be the same band they were in 1983 but they're not and haven't been since 1989.

Well...you have to think about weather or not the band have had time to rehearse these new songs live. I mean you can't just perform without rehearsing. Also, Hooky mentioned in the recent NOOL interview that they can't change their set as flippantly as they could before because of restrictions with the new technlogy and live setups. The new songs may be written and ready...but not mixed/produced yet...and certainly not ready to be performed live.

Hopefully it's not stuff that's already produced by the same people who produced WFTSC; and hopefully they are thinking of producing and mixing at this stage....and trying something new with the tracks they have "ready". Please, I hope it's not too similar in sound to WFTSC...I liked the contrast between Get Ready and WFTSC. Perhaps releasing an album too early after WFTSC is not such a good thing...if it means that is will be a "WFSC outtakes" kind of album. Ideally they should go back to the studio...look at what they have and work with that...from ground up...to define a new(er) sound for the next release.

Just my two cents.

Is that what you do in your life, Brian? Keeping an eye on Mike? Is that the main reason you're on this forum? How sad!

I'm sick of you all who use this board for your constant moaning about New Order!

I don't get why you are bitching at BLT... D Mike was the one to spend a post using the lame snooze icon...

I thought the comments in this thread by BLT and others were pretty interesting... more interesting than some other recent threads for sure!

What an ass to come in and just post a 'I'm too cool for this' icon... if you are bored with the dialog, use your mouse and go somewhere else!

How can anyone defend digif*ck mike and his lame icon?

It is just childish, posting like that...
