Hooky has repetitive strain injuri (RSI)?

Hardly. The interview he gave to this site a couple of weeks ago featured him taling about pains in his fingers and the Clash bassist having arthritis in his hands. Not exactly a world exclusive that he may have some form of RSI problem! More worrying for me is Bernard's increasingly erratic stage behaviour!

The "dancing" that gets him disapproving looks from the rest of the band, the whoops every five seconds, the crass comments.....need I go on? Far better when he said nothing and concentrated on playing the songs rather than making a dickhead out of himself!

When any band lasts longer than a few years, some members of the original fan-base feel alienated by the changes that the band go through. The Beatles were slated throughout their career for their changing image and musical style, Bob Dylan has made a career of it, Queen are being lampooned for attempting to tour with a new singer.
Rather than suffering, a smart fan would move on and find a new band that they really like, wouldn't they? I certainly wouldn't pay any attention to a band if I thought the lead singer was a dickhead.
The suggestion that any band should realise that they are not the force they once were and give up is completely unrealistic. What are they supposed to do instead? It's not as if they have 'real' jobs to go back to - this is all they have ever done for a living.

Gotta say though, after watching the Ross performance again there's some pretty dodgey looks from both Steve and Hooky directed to Bernard. And of course, we are now fully aware of the "How did I end up in this band" look from Steve lol which has been there since 2001/02. I'm not complaining but that's just what I've picked up on anyway.
Roll on the live WFTSC TV performances...

Well said and true.But new order do still make great music,you ommitt to say.Its just people who used to like them may give the new album amiss,when hearing Jet and never discover that. In my humble opinion.That is not good.I just feel the album has been marketed poorly with JET coming out.Again in my fookin opinion.ofcourse BARNEY is cool as fook and his dancing is does'nt bother me a jot.Nuff said

And it is strange it is not worrying you that Hooky has some sort of rsi, because Hooky is worrying himself. That seems worrying enough to me!

Check out Fine Time on TOTP, December 1988. Hooky visibly turns away sniggering at Barney's dancing at one point, unable to contain a broad grin.

It´s not exactly the same, but it is possible Hooky has Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, in Europe we call that sort of injuries RSI.

not RSI any more, it's ULD (upper limb disorder)
rsi- repetitive strain injury,for the lay man this basically means that if you do something for a long time then your muscles/tendons/ligaments/joints become weaker than what they should be e.g tennis elbow/golfers elbow etc,etc.
I think that bill wyman and rick parfitt have also suffered from rsi due to playing the guitar for many years.
in hookys case he has been playing the bass for over 25 years using the same hand,suppose is back is fooked too by playing the bass that low for all these years!
maybe Hook can get someone like Phil's brother to come in and play bass for him...
it would free him up so he could dance with Sumner!!!
