While surfing the net during work hours, I discovered this fascinating little tidbit that you may or may not wish to post on NOOL if you are so inclined:

“The first dateable use of the term "gothic" in relation to post-punk music was by Tony Wilson, who described Joy Division as gothic compared with the pop mainstream on a BBC TV programme, "Something Else" (15/9/79), when Tony Wilson and Steve Morris were interviewed.”

CTB sent me the above because for some reason he is paranoid about cracking the 1000. I suggest it be credited to him anyway.

Looks like Wilson has alot to answer for. If only he'd called it something else, Fat Bob might actually look halfway decent.

what on earth for?? isn't it half-cracked or a semi-post if you put it up here for him and gave him the credit??

Just a joke. My theory is that one he reaches the 1000, he'll just have to keep posting till he reaches 1999. And frankly I like his contributions in this forum.
