I'd stake good money on that too.
Allymonaco, eh?!
Lets break that down into constituent parts - could be an Ally, who likes a bit of Monaco?!
Hmmm.
Actually, nah, doesn't ring any bells this end. ![]()
You find that expensive? I think it's the one I've seen going for LESS money so far, except the fake copies floating around these days.
Ally told me he got it, I believe he bought it with the money he did when selling his 2nd True Faith 2001 CD ;)

Any chance you can do us a copy of your new cd, Ally?

The sad part is that I was the second highest bidder, with a maximum bid of $113 USD ![]()
Ally you're either made of money or a bigger hardcore fan than I am. I'm betting on the former ![]()

I'd like to see the logic which made you stop at 113 dollars?!

i got a copy of this one too,me thinks it cost £24.
Quite a rare one tho, dont see many of these about!

That one's not quite as rare as the CD. You can get it for 4,99 GBP.
It wasn't New Order but as another point of possible interest to you I saw Electronic's UNTIL THE END OF TIME promo go for £113 on eBay.
Has anyone actually heard these mixes ? Until The End Of Time (K-klass Mix) Until The End Of Time ( Fluffy dice mix ) Until The End Of Time ( Sweet Dub ) Until The End Of Time ( Soulboy collective 7" Version )
If so, what do you think? Hope they were worth it lest the winning bidder be driven...

it was an absolutely dreadful song (Electronics worst IMO) so I douby the remixes were up to much
Bloody hell... anyone want to inspect my bank statements next? Just had a few unexpected MSN windows appearing screaming "£62????????"
Anyway, yes it is a fair old amount but as any New Order discography geek worth their salt will tell you, that particular SLY CD promo is extremely rare and becoming rarer as the years go by. As Nic said these CDs have gone for alot more in the past, and I recently flogged some other CDs on ebay quite successfully so this really doesn't dent my finances too much. Although it uses up all my profit from my last auction ![]()
The CD is the only digital source of the Gabriel + Dresden mixes and the Funk D'Void variants. The red and lime promo vinyl of SLY on the other hand aren't all that rare... everyone has them, so no-one's sitting on a goldmine unfortunately. Unless you have a genuine SLY Promo CD and not the dodgy ones that have been doing the rounds... Sorry!
Ally.
I'm just curious, cause I have never used ebay (yeah I am the last person on earth...) :)
How do you know stuff is legit via ebay??? Couldn't someone just do a really good fake? I'm not questioning this item, but just wondering in general... (but for instance, this cd looks like anyone could have put it together on their pc... just grab the london logo, copy the songs, etc...)
Have you guys ever got burned via ebay? or if not outright scammed, perhaps you got an item that you wonder about in the back of your mind???
just curious about the whole thing.

Here's a tip....don't buy Louis Vuitton handbags from Muffy (top work fella!) and if you're buying an Ipod Mini from me make sure you can read Japanese....
Incidentally, while 62 quid is a bit steep... it's nowhere near as bad as those World in motion Factory promo CDs we've seen going for $450
Especially because (a) you can get all the mixes on the Canadian CD single and (b) the song's shite to begin with! I just try to get my hands on as many digitally sourced tracks as possible, and the SLY promo CD happens to be quite rare ![]()
Anyway can we stop the "victimise Ally's spending habits" thread now???
I'm shy and don't like the attention
so give it to Shug
;)
Ally.

Hence, it could only really be improved upon. K-Klass did a great job on RUINED IN A DAY (IMHO) but then maybe this track was even beyond them...the Soulboy Collective remix sounds potentially hazardous to one's aural health really

You can't. Yepp. The best thing to do is to check the feedback and other buyers' comments. And perhaps send a mail to the seller.

Yepp. It sucks.
