That was funny on TFI friday. New order should play at that gig with the mondays on there 'big return' to manchester, on second thoughts wouldn't a Factory records reunion gig be cool, James, New Order, Happy Mondays, the list goes on that'd be a good day out.
i do like there new found politness on TOTP with bernards thank you's at the end of each performance, you can't fault the guy for trying!

I think the easy answer is that he almost always comes over as a thoroughly pleasant and down to earth chap. Steve and Gills are kinda quiet, Barney has his wee moods ( the rest of the time he seems a nice chap too), but Hooky just bumbles along. There's an impression, backed up by many people here it seems, that if you bump into them in a bar, Hooky's the one who'll sit and rap away with you ( unless, by Some accounts, you catch S+G in good form in which case they don't shut up) For me personally I think he is the last of New Order in a way, he's the one who still LOVES playing out, who still loves the music, the fans, everything about being the world's most unique bassplayer (when you can't actually play proper bass, yet Flea bows down to worship you, you've got it made).
An easier answer of course is..... BDRRRRRRRRRNNN
