I'm Loving WFTSC...and already lookin forward to the next release. Since New Order are in collaboration mode; I think they should work with M.I.A. on thier next release.

She's a Shri Lankan born, London art school grad that has just realeased a smashing, raw sounding, ragga/techno/old school casio styled record...sounding VERY fresh and contemporary at the same time. I just saw her perform in Toronto with LCD Sound System..she was brilliant. For some reason I think that a duet/collabo with her and Bernard would be perfect...their vocals would sound amazing together.

Any other suggestions for future collabo's ?

M.I.A. is fucking great. Great Suggestion. Her debut long player is some of the craziest, and original shit out their. M.I.A. And New order could be so good together.

Im excited she's playing a FREE CONCERT at central park this summer.

(Jonathan Grant, Paavo Siljamäki & Tony McGuinness) They also release tracks/remixes as Oceanlab (with Justine Suissa on vocals - I really love her voice), an other less known aliases like Rollerball, Tranquility Base. Like someone wrote on discogs.com: "Magic is weaved into the melodies they mix". Since New Order claims that they are not so up-to-date with the "electronics", maybe A&B can bring what is lacking in most of the recent NO tracks. That kind of combination succeeded with The Chemical Brothers on Here To Stay. i'd love to hear Chan (pronounced "shawn") Marshall from Catpower sing with NO or Marcy Mays from Scrawl. they both have a sexy down to earth but yet still light voice that would be a good accompaniant to Bernard.

Don't forget Billy Corgan, and Arthur Baker...both from the U.S.

Hmmm I disagree...New Order have been about evolving and trying new things. The latest 'new thing' is collaborating...and even if it has not worked as well as we hoped...it's a very New Order thing to do...

I reckon collaborations are for the media whore types and best left away from NO. Arthur Baker was a producer, if you count him you gotta count them all. The only collaboration I can think of that is really excellnt is here to stay, which I believe has chemical involvement.

Would love to hear a NO track produced by Alex Paterson.

OK, so I didn't even like "Out of Control" very much or the whole "Surrender" record for that matter, but I'd love to hear some more Chemicals/New Order.

Our lads still know how to write a good tune and play a little guitar, and the Chems seem to not mind dialing beyond the first synth preset they find to twiddle a litte bit.

I suspect that each act could "dirty up" the other in a good way.

Barney's collaboration with Sub Sub "This Time I'm Not Wrong" was damn fine............. Sub Sub have evolved into Doves, maybe the way forward for NO?

Even though i dont care for the chemical brother, I think they should produce the next NO ALBUM. "Hear to Stay" was excellant and could of fit perfectly into "Substance"

Have you heard Blink's collaboration with Robert Smith? Listen to that and you'll see what I mean.

Plus, musically, Blink is actaully relatively comparable to New Order.

Artist wise, if your looking for a duet, I'd suggest Shirley Manson.

But producer wise, I think it'd be cool to do an experiment like ...I think it was Squeeze set out to do with East Side Story....a double album done with different producers each taking a different side.

Take some time and collaborate with these folks on every aspect of the album....

I'd like to see them work with side 1 Arthur Baker, side 2 Stephen Hague, side 3 chemical Brothers, and side 4 Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois...

Kind of a past present future deal....

Oh my God! Are you completely ? How can you compare the Order with a (thankfully now defunct) bunch of pop-punk cheesemeisters? The mind boggles. Please tell me you weren't being serious!

Anyway, to get back to the topic, I'd like to see them get together with the Chem Bros (as other people have suggested). Out Of Control was the reason I got into NO in the first place, so I'd like to see what Tom and Ed could do with the whole band in the studio.

I don't really know what is cheesy or not for you, but Satellite is one of the most beautiful dance/trance tracks I've ever heard. Their remix of Madonna's "What It Feels Like For A Girl" was so good that Madonna has used it on its video and not the original version.
