So I've got the Chemical Brothers' Singles 93-03 playing at the moment, and I'd really like to hear them work with the lads again. I mean, right about the time when Bernard was cobbling together Republic, the Brothers were working on nasty-ass stuff like Song to the Siren and Chemical Beats.
Ah, if they could just get together and jump-start each other a little bit...
Personally, I'd like to see the lads collaborate with .... themselves. Really, NO can still do it on their own. Why do they need anyone else? As a cheap ploy to boost sales? They ought to concentrate on making some kick ass songs, then the sales will take care of themselves.
That being said, if NO had to collaborate with someone, I'd say on the production side they should seriously consider working with BT (aka Brian Transeau)- the man knows how to make and produce dance music - something which NO has not really demonstrated adequately on the last two records (IMHO).
