To further cloud the skies, all references to the site sale have been removed. Is there a buyer? Truth and Doubts Even Here! Perhaps David from WorldinMotion.net has made a play for a monopoly.
Some sort of communication between the webmasters and their site members would be an absolute revelation at this point. Is that asking too much?

Ah, I wondered when someone would mention the name David 'Loadsamoney' Sultan. Glad Depthcharge beat me to it. Already has a reputation for splashing huge amounts of dosh on Order-related items - another website would look good in his collection!
Quite right Big Al. I can recall several time when I was bidding on all sorts of rare Order guff on eBay and was beaten to the sale by none other than worldinmotion. Not to mention the time he splashed out on that fecking huge Factory collection. Must have some serious clams to chuck about.
If the management does change hands lets hope they keep the site pretty much as it is now. Especially the forums.
I don't believe this - I'm away from here for one day and next thing I know it's all going off! Does anyone know why the site's being sold and who's in the running for new owner? Nic, Seb, anyone who has any idea, talk to us!

I met David in LA last summer. Indeed, the Factory collection cos him a good few quid. We're talking thousands.

Twas basically the ENTIRE Factory back catalogue, in all formats imaginable. From Fac 1 - or whatever their first release was? - right the way thru to Fac-WhateverTheyWereOnWhenTheyFolded.

It was some serious guff there Hanson.. Every damn Factory item you could poke a snagger at, in multiples. You would have bathed in the glow of multi-coloured Procession 7"s- all the colours of the rainbow!!! And Christmas flexis? One for every child!
I actually offloaded a small chunk of stuff from him- a NewOrder sheet music book, Prime 5-8-6 pts 1 and 3, a Hooky-signed Run2 12".. It was definitely the most impressive showcase of NewOrderabilia I've ever heard of being sold at once. Cost him a King's ransom to ship as well.
And here I thought I was going to see someone bragging about having purchased the website for 17.99 pounds sterling...
What?? Including the Factory Records Cat ? (yep - strue - they even gave a Cat-alogue number to one of the staff's feline members - buggered if I know which person' it belonged to though? The Hacienda's resident mouser perchance? Anyone else know??!!
