yes...I guess there is hope for this world after all!!!!

so by the time we all reach 100, maybe the order could sell out the Rose Bowl...

I called his mom up last night before I went to work, and told her of this news that the Order might be back in April, and she said that we would make it a family type outing if they do actually make it back...

wouldn't it be nice???

School is no excuse. We don't let work interfere with this, so why should school?

sorry your right, college shouldnt interfere if you guys can keep jobs and still post thousands. would college partying be a good excuse?

It's very nice seeing that you're only 18 and like New Order. My story began when I had 16 in 1988 and the Substance CD was the reason. But the hardcore fan came after the NO concert here in Brazil and I didn't go to it because I didn't like that much (What I cannot forgive myself!). In 1989 I got Techinique and listened to it like 20 times non stop and then I was catched. I buy everything from them till these days. You can imagine how regret I am for not going to the gig once they didn't come back in Republic tour. I expect that they come here for Get Ready tour.

Originally posted by ferris jolt I've been a member of this website for a while but ive never really posted, mainly because with the other new order sholars around here im kind of intimidated, anyway...Im 18 and have been a new order fan since 98. The way i found out about new order was from a compilation cd i bought called The Big 80s, the Big Movies. It featured 80s music from 80s movies such as dont you forget about me from the breakfast club, oh yeah from ferris buellers day off (the reason i bought the disk) and bizzare love triangle from married to the mob. I remember thinking nothing much of this song at first but then i grew to really like it. i then went to the store to find some more cds by new order and the only one they had was the best of new order (I live in the US) so i bought that, then substance, then found technique and republic in used bins... and now they are my favorite group.

I would like to know if there is any Joy Division fan that should be with 40 these days, that visits the site. Is there anybody?

There's one or two, Jim Giliberto being the main culprit I think !! Most of us seem to be early-mid thirties, though the poll of average age last year showed up as having an age of 29 as being the commonest. Not sure how many people on here saw JD apart from me.

i got into no when i was 14 after hearing true faith on the radio and falling in love with the song - it's still probably my favourite song now. i've also been working on my friends without much success as they consider themselves to be hardcore rockers and find the fact that i'd actually listen to such a band as new order very amusing. :\ohwell:

They'e not all still into Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Hawkwind are they - being Brummies and all that...after all, Heavy metal music got its name from the West Midlands didn't it??

i'm a new new order fan since i heard cyrstal and i'm 18. i heard of them many times(mainly blue monday and bizarre love triangle, the songs they always play during retro 80s nights) before but they didn't attract me very much because they sounded so dated to me. when i first heard crystal, i became addicted to new order and started borrowing new order stuff from my sister, who is also a fan. i'm usually into a lot of lo-fi indie rock and it's kinda wierd that i'm into such a polished-sounding band.

Heh, you can't beat a bit of ELO though...check out the vocoder voices. Mr Blue Sky, what a classic.

Karen Brady...Sweet Talking Women or Evil Women?!!

By the way I was singing Crystal karaoke style with my step sisters son on Christmas Day...I was terrible and pissed but he was definately a budding Barney and with the haircut to go with it. I don't think the neighbours will be going out and buying Get Ready however just yet.

Substance too? Were you one of those unlucky ones who got hold of a version where CD number 1 was missing then?!

Serious danger, Bert, of you taking over from our dearly loved and sadly departed Martian as the shining wit of this board......
