Here be dragons. ;)

Yes I like DC. I like the way it combines electronic sounds with the musical instruments. Wait! Doesn't that describe all their songs? :confused2:

Yes, great song. One of my top 3-4 favorites on the album.

And it's in my top 10, no doubt.

I gotta disagree with this.

Other than the disgruntled liberal American haters they are very friendly indeed.

I was well taken care of when I was in Vancouver.

And they love coming to NYC.

Liked it a lot when I first heard the album, lately it's been the track I'm more likely to skip when listening to the whole thing. Don't hate it, just like most of the other songs better.

Dracula's Castle would be ok if the lyrics are written by someone over the age of 8...

Did Bernard have his kids pen the lyrics?

Count Chocula!!!!!!

oooh, DRACULA!!!!!!!!!!!

scary teeth!!!!!

so GOTH!!!!

hear that scary DRACULA sinister laugh???

I am SO scared listening to the song. DRACULA is gonna GET you!!!!

I think they should have put in scary samples in the background of the song.... that would really class it up to about age 9....

this song alone is probably why this lp is selling so bad. folks go to buy it, then see the title DRACULAS SCARY BEDTIME STORY CASTLE and don't buy it.... they think it is some kid scary halloween lp...

oh, maybe they will release it on Halloween, the super single!!!

the only worse song is Vietnam....

edit: p.s. I am embarrassed my fellow Americans are polling happy about this crap.... time to move to Nova Scotia...

well there's a shock, international forum or not, this thread is for members of the master race only is it.

BOLLOX to that.

Reckon that one's better :)

Now....might I propose...... poll for the English poll for the Welsh poll for the Irish poll for the Scots (better make that two polls each for those last 2 as there's no way you could possibly ask shug to share his poll with a hun, and I CERTAINLY don't want mine all stunk up with papists)

poll for mad people poll for lemurs poll for capibaras

It used to be said that the ultimate expression of Brit racism was "Wogs begin at Callais". I can't imagine what the US equiv is..."inside border good, outside border bad"? "if they aint yanks call the tanks"?

Last map is class, and true! The sooner the blue states break away from the reds, the faster the United States of Canada can reunite and move forward :evil4:

But Dracula's Castle...

A middling, take it or leave it off WFTSC (the only one mind)

Another list of also rans:

Get Ready - 60MPH, Slow Jam, Rock the Shack, Run Wild (too many, hence IMHO their worst disc

Republic - Spooky, Liar

Technique - Loveless, Guilty Partner

Brotherhood - AIIWIW, Broken Promise, Way of Life

Low Life - Perfect Kiss (edit  )

PC&L - We All Stand, Ecstasy

Movement - The Him, Denial

PS, well done the Yanks for NOT accusing me of being some strange political entity I don;t understand.

Nice to be able to take the pish outta y'all without worrying about being entered on the FBI's terror suspect database :)

Nope, no cash and precious little desire to stand round in a field thru all the irrelevant music prior to the church service. Probably my last bloody chance and all, but somehow, it's not as important missing them when you're only missing 3 of them if you get my drift.

Sorry about the inevitable wanker from belfast who'll come down steaming, singing the sash and trying to start the battle of the boyne up again.

Whoa, two-part thread.

  1. Dracula's Castle - Shit, even 50 Cent can come up with an alternate line or two so his tracks can get airplay ("What, MTV won't play, 'I got the X if you into takin' drugs?' How 'bout, 'I got whatcha need if you need to feel a buzz?'") Since 1930, Dracula = Cheese. (I do like the idea of gluing a Dracula's Castle flexi-disc to the back of Count Chocula boxes, though.)

  2. The maps - Yeah, they're kinda clever, but, speaking as a real live Jesuslander and proud American, let me assure you I just finished working with a team comprising Craig, Roberto, Kinslow, Ahmed, Habib, Tarshish, Mantalvo, Nigrelli, and Henry, all of whom are working here 'cause they're bright and motivated and had the opportunity. I realize America looks different from a distance, but it's a kickass place to live, honest.

ah, I feel MUCH better. I just played Draculas Creepy Scary Castle and now I feel like listening to some more fantastic music. All music is good stoned like this. Ah, here it is, the Barney the Purple F*ck Kiddie Fun LP, featuring my new favorite song, "Little Red Riding Hood"

Good stuff!!!!

I love this map.

Now, to start a REAL flamefest.... based on that map, I DARESAY that most New Order fans on the Northern American continent are somewhere in the US of Canada area....

I KNOW there are some GREAT fans in the Jesusland area. But, if you added em all up, I bet more are from US of C... like 70% to 30% ...

I really often wish the US of Canada would happen. We New Englanders often talk of secession. We often have more to do with England (get it, 'NEW england') culturally than with our Bible Belt. We are unashamedly 'liberal' up here.

Just like all Brits hate to be lumped into the 'English' stereotype (i.e. Bath, Leeds, London are SO different), us Americans get pissed when we get lumped together. New England is so far from Texas it is bizarre.

All this said, I know some of the best bastions of neworderhood are in Texas, Florida, and Colorado... I am NOT dissing you guys...

To add to the map... I'm not sure all of Americans can actually say where is Canada... :evil4:

In the words of Homer Simpson "all the way DOWN there"...

Wow, well said. I enjoyed the map because it funny laughing about stereotypes. We also have to realize thats this country is being taken over by christian fundtalism politicans, and organizations. But I also have faith that the country will see a backlash against this in the near future. I refuse to let these cowards to speak for me, and given time america will reject religious fanaticism like they always have.

I am an equally proud and shameful american. Being from polish descent, I appreciate the opportunties that america has given us. I appreciate the ideals this country was born from. It is scary that seperation of church/state is in jeopardy. This is in my mind the most important principle of the american constitution. The iraqi war is of course shameful. Hopefully, over time the public will reject this war just like the vietnam war. There are signs of this already. I guess it should of happen already.

So call me a conflicted american. I hope this was coherent.
