They were engaged in '93, I have a vague recolection that they married in '95. I'd love if they would record more as TheOtherTwo, have to say I really enjoy Gillian's voice (even backwards? Voytek) & I listen to both albums a lot.

They've been together since before Steve formed Joy Division with Warsaw, and I remember them marrying shortly before OR shortly after Republic, but not exactly...
I think their engagement (or marriage?) is mentioned on the "New Order Story" which is from 1993.
Gillian and Stephen were engaged in 1993, publicly announcing the fact during the filming of Kevin Hewitt’s ‘The New Order Story’. They were married shortly afterwards in a private and low-key ceremony. During the 1990s, Gillian gave birth to two daughters, Grace and Mathilde.
I was reading this today on this here site on the innerweb.
I remember reading somewhere they were married in 1994 although I don't know if NO actually played at their reception. Imagine trying to concentrate on performing for your friends and family when you've been the centre of attention all day, have consumed a fair bit of drinkie and then have to get up on stage to entertain everyone!
(It should be noted that Phil Collins reunited the original line-up of Genesis - with Gabriel - at his second wedding and they played live too!)
(The) Other Two's recording career was fraught with issues outside their control: 'The Other Two And You' spent over a year unreleased because of the band's commitment to Republic and Factory's troubles. Apart from the singles - Tasty Fish is brilliant - and a few tracks, it's not a great album overall and Gillian's voice lacks confidence which was to be expected.
The release of singles from 'Super Highways' were also disrupted, 'You Can Fly' never being released eventually. The album is great, with much stronger vocals from Gillian, some great songs and the talented addition of Melanie Williams. They were dropped from the label shortly after its release and so it was hardly promoted.
I think it's very unlikely that OT will ever record again, seeing as Gillian has retired to care for their kids and the Order is the central focus of attention with all of them really. Barney has admitted that Electronic will probably never record again as well. He cites getting old!
Along the inside spine of the Rest Of New Order CD cover is written:

I think those are the dates of their engagement and marriage.

Unlikely, as I believe Hooky and Barney were not actually invited to said wedding!
They must have had one of the longest courtships in music history! Gillian used to tell a story that she and her mates and sisters used to go to Warsaw gigs so that would be around 1977-8 or so. I make that about sixteen years of just 'going out' with each other!
I suppose with one thing and another there was little time to plan something quite big like a wedding so they took the chance when the Order were not functioning to do the deed. Am I right in thinking that the band almost split for good after the final gig to support Republic in 93?
It's a shame that Hooky and Barney weren't there. I wonder why. It seems a bit strange to not invite the two people you've spent so much time with over the years. I'd have been deeply hurt if that had been me but they had their reasons.
Ps I remember reading long ago that Gillian was asked to join the band expressly because "she couldn't play and therefore couldn't influence us"!

*Simply they weren't speaking to each other since Reading 1993 (they hadn't even spoke to decide whether to make the split official!), they were tired and they didn't want to see each other's face again, we only have to thank the soul of Rob Gretton if they got back together, he gathered them around a table in 1997 and asked something like "Why have you split and are those reasons still fookin actual??!" And they said: "Er, no." Then Rob said: "Right, get fookin back then!" And them: "Alright" It took four years, disappointing sales of solo projects, and a good offer to play a festival, but at last it happened, and they were all so happy it did... I remember how I was happy too... I just got back from seeing Monaco, I wanted to see them because they were the only side project playing live and I never expected a New Order reunion... after a short while Manuel called me and said "New Order have reunited and will play a festival!" I just thought "I'm fucked, straight after I've spent all my money for Monaco those bastards are coming back, but I have to be there too!" It was worth it, one of my happiest memories...
