Well they are now an American band, since London is just a brandname for AOLTW. Why would the British Phonographic Industry recognise them?

Last time the got a BPI award (the Brits, when people still had an average IQ in double figures and could understand such an intensely complex word as phonographic), they tried to get Factory to leave the BPI again :)

Brit awards are for Busted and blazin squad these days anyway...sort of smash hits pollwinners but with even dumber presenters, they have no relavence to musicians.

This is the OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION AWARD we're talking about here... not just LP of the year or best flash in the pan from the last 12 months...

You claim to be 'from the home of Manchester' and at the same time you say NO are an 'American Band' (excuse me - I just wet myself...)

If the BRITS are so innappropriate to NO, then why was LoveWillTearUsApart up for best song of the last 25 years (at the BRITS), why did Hooky and Barney present a (rather pissed) award there last year and why did Kylie showboat 'Can't get blue monday out of my head' on the show...???

Yes the BRITS are poptastic, but they are also the UK's top awards show. I heard rumour that this was a NO fan site- don't we want to see them collecting this award with a big drunken smile on their face?

Go go go to:

and register your interest (or even lack of interest thereof)...

Fate conspires against me - the address...

...doesn't seem to be showing new posts - the last is from April!

I'll check back from time to time to see if they pull their finger out...
