This has probably been discussed before, but does it bother anyone else that the Hooky's bass line in the title track sounds exactly like Regret and is used again in Krafty?

WFTSC and Krafty are a bit similar - the bassline during the instrumental break in Krafty sounds like the verse of the title track - but what part of Regret are you talking about?

Hooky has always ripped himself off - there are a number of progressions he has made small changes to throughout - but it doesnt bother me. He's still very creative and as lon as he makes a good bass line thats all that matters.

a few of the notes are the same (at the end of regret and the end of the chorus of WFTSC, for example), but i chalk it up to hooky's 'signature' bass sound more than anything.

At the start of Regret, that opening bass riff, right after Barney's guitar..Sounds too close for me,..

The others I'll chalk up to the classic Hooky sound are Love Vigalantes/Atmosphere and Crystal/Tenderness (Monaco).

Ha ha! I've always said that Hooky knows only 3 bass lines but they're the best lines ever to be played so he can use 'em over and over for all I care.

Krafty is still a much better tune over WFTSC if you ask me.

I'll agree with this and who cares if hookey's bass lines sound alike they are great bass lines and without them we would not have the New Order we all love

I'm not sure which I prefer, but Krafty and WFTSC start off incredibly similar. To be honest, those are the only tracks I skip over now.
