If you had to lose New Order or your football club what would it be?
arrgh, it would have to be New Order unfortunately 
Bizarre Love Triangle is good, but when Solksjaer hit that second....
Atmosphere is sad, but when the scousers won the champs league...
My team were good 80 years ago. new Order were good 20 years ago. Have to take New Order better chance they'll improve.
I love neworder and Celtic the same.......
But nothing gives me more joy than when we beat the Huns.
Hard one...but now I've thought about it I would have to keep the Boro.Mainly because NO will probably be finished inside 5 years and I will always have their back catalogue to love.Where as BORO have not yet peaked,we are back in Europe tho, YEEEEEEEES
My team come before just about everything else in life.
So if I had to choose one to go, it'd be NO.
Although a certain leech going by the name Glazer may make the opposite choice for me in time. :(
Since I hate pretty much every sport there is that's not pro-wrestling, I'm saying NO. If I could turn on the tv and instead of, let's say, a baseball game, New Order were playing. I'd be the happiest boy in the world:D
one of my mates always used to say "if new order where playing rovers,which end would you be in?" i used to say new orders,not sure now!
Football? kidding right, NO in a heartbeat.
Now, if I had to pick between our hockey club though, even though they have been in a lock-out for the last year, I'm not sure of the result !!

Don't do footie. But my "team" was Ferrari. Then one day they rigged a race (more obviously than usual) and all the posters were out the window.
Teams come and go. New order remain.
Oh please, I can't understand how you can even compare the two kinds of emotion you can feel with New Order and sport... Music can move your heart much more than sport, it's nearer to sex than sport... Sport can be interesting, but I'd live without it, it's a hobby, not a true passion. After all, we're happy if we win on Sunday, but by Wednesday nobody gives a fuck, while you can always play that CD which gives you special feelings... I've been to London in 1993 to see Parma win the Cup Winners Cup and it was a very special day, but it was nothing when compared to going to Manchester in 1998 to see New Order's reunion. I'd rather see Parma disappear from the football map than losing any of my New Order albums...
Yer right in that sport is hit and miss and transient ( even the wildest fan can't watch the same clip every day and get off on it for years). But sport can hit moments that music can't. Like I say I don't do footie, or much else sport wise....but the noise of a footbal crowd is WAY louder than a gig crowd in the same venue. I've heard Italians scream so loud that 20 f1 cars were drowned out. And as for passion.... Alex Zanardi
I watched a documentary about him, and I cried almost the whole way through it. His story struck chords cos of the paralell with NO[1]. Faced with nothing but pain, grief and loss, both AZ and NO, say "no way!". There's a sequence in the film about him going back to the track that took his legs to run the remaining laps of that race on his own, and as he pulled out of the pits, to the sound of 10's of thousands of Germans (that "reserved" lot) losing their minds.....I actually started running Ceremony along in my head.

The noise of the crowd means nothing... people can scream for no good reason. Just hear how some politicians get cheered, check Bush in the last campaign, he should have eggs thrown at him and yet there's still plenty of simpletons who'll go there and cheer him... the same for Berlusconi, he came in Parma a couple of days ago and there were women who wanted to kiss the bastard! 
And if you're talking about someone's life you're talking about a story, and that could be a movie as well...
I'm talking about the intensity of feelings, a tune can be much more touching than any victory... Fuck any cup and gimme True Faith! 
It'd have to be the Albion, honestly.
Theres a few other bands I like about as much as NO, they just tour even less frequently and/or have cuntish fans which makes it hard to go to a concert. However, I have one team. I've gone through such utter crap with the Albion in the past (Archer, for instance) that'd it be hard to drop them.
However, a band that drops its fans for 5 years in one go and comes back when they need the cash... eh, I can probably get over them pretty fast.

Oh, I dunno. There's 3 minutes at the end of a football match that took place in Barcelona on May 26th 1999 that I never tire of watching & don't expect I ever will. Even typing about it produces goose-bumps.

I already my choice, hence I'll not be at this weeks gigs. Might have been a bit tougher, if I hadn't been born in the home city of Europe's greatest club.
I'm shocked you even think about comparing sports and New Order. I mean, you can compare SEEING a football match to SEEING New Order live. But you know, New Order have something more, you can HEAR and FEEL them, and only sex is better!
I actually made this choice back in 1988.
I walked away from Wembley having just seen my team beaten in the Cup Final and thought, fuck this.
I was spending a fortune on travel and match tickets and I wasn't even sure to have a good time :(
New Order and music in general became a lot more important to me. 
Mind you, I'm back to suffering at Anfield every other week again now. 
Seeing a European Cup victory on the Wednesday and then New Order live on the Friday was fairly bloody amazing

Seeing as the Mancs have won European Cup/Champs League twice to the scouser's five I would have thought you would choose New Order.
Although LFC have given me many great times the memories will fade with time, however when I hear New Order ( or any other musical favourites ) the memories do not fade. New Order for me.

Another mad choice. Yes it's 2-5 as regards Manc/Scouse Euro Champs titles, but like Barney Army (I'm sure) if it was 25-0 in their favour it would still be team over band. Sorry mate, but I cannot agree that that football memories fade with time. Both football & music will stay with me forever. No NO song, and they've had some CLASS, will ever have the lasting effect that some UNITED memories had.

As much as I love New Order nothing could describe the joy of certain Sunday when the Scum bottled it at Fir Park and the mighty Gers won the SPL. Hope you were there crying your eyes out with the rest of the great unwashed.
