I watched a documentary about him, and I cried almost the whole way through it. His story struck chords cos of the paralell with NO[1]. Seeing as the Mancs have won European Cup/Champs League twice to the scouser's five I would have thought you would choose New Order.

Although LFC have given me many great times the memories will fade with time, however when I hear New Order ( or any other musical favourites ) the memories do not fade. New Order for me.

Another mad choice. Yes it's 2-5 as regards Manc/Scouse Euro Champs titles, but like Barney Army (I'm sure) if it was 25-0 in their favour it would still be team over band. Sorry mate, but I cannot agree that that football memories fade with time. Both football & music will stay with me forever. No NO song, and they've had some CLASS, will ever have the lasting effect that some UNITED memories had.

Buchan, Greenhoff, Stapleton, Martin, Robbo, Whiteside, Sparky, Schmeichel, Eric, Becks, Cole, Teddy, OGS, Ruud.

Maybe it's just me but I think music envokes different emotions to sport, you get that initial high when your team wins a cup and I don't think you can repeat that high.

Sure its great feeling seeing Solksjaer score the winner, it was great for me watching Liverpool's comeback but in a few years time having watched the highlights for the umpteenth time it will not evoke that initial high.

I can listen to a song and it will envoke the same emotion/high every time I listen to it.

The 5-2 scoreline jibe was a reply to your 'Atmosphere' is sad line, the same feeling applied to me in 1999:( , like I said different emotions....

um, after Friday night in Hyde Park I'm not so sure now
