The truth of the matter is that on the rare occasion that Scotland qualify for anything in football, they approach the finest that they have to offer, like Teenage FanClub and Belle and Sebastian, and the Scottish FA get told to fuck off as the bands don't want their reputations sullying !

(Brand new copy as well!) So - Bargain of the week then! :)Whizzed it home, stuck it in CD player straight to track 12, and finally got an earful of it - very similar to Get Ready's tracks in sound (producer Rollo but also assisted by 140 db/Steve osbourne) so I can now understand why some of you wished to have it included in your preferred track listings of GR.Some other good tracks on it too - notably Barry adamson, Orbital, Faithless and ADF.Never saw the film though, mind - don't like Leornado Di Caprio.

there's a 3" cd on factory of fine time? is this factory uk? don't remember that - got the fine time & remix cd singles when they came out (though lost the remix one - or was i dreaming it?) the touched 5" came in a cardboard sleeve - had touched, temptation & something else on it as i recall. can't remember off hand.

Fine Time wasn't released on 3" CD. Round & Round was the only one as far as I'm aware.

Has anyone got/seen the Blue Monday '88 CDVideo? I was looking through an old Record Collector recently and it's listed as "Existance unconfirmed"!! I've got the True Faith one, but never saw a BM88 one.

No, I'm POSITIVE I've seen Fine Time as a 3" CD somewhere - I know "Round and Round" also came out as a 3" CD as it was packaged in one of those "long packs" - I remember seeing BOTH this one AND the Fine Time one at a Record Fair in Newcastle in 1990 - fuck only knows why I didn't snap both of them up at the time....it isn't difficult to imagine just how hard I'm banging my head against that wall even to this day about that missed oppoprtunity - proverbially speaking of course.

Oh yeah Old Blue - I also spotted your queried BlueMonday88 CD video - going for an astronomical sum in a Leeds record collectors stall last year - they wanted £30 for it but my pocket could only muster up a whimper of defeat sadly. So - it DOES exist - and the CD is actually GOLD in colour - same sleeve as the 12" mind.

:cool2:

Cheers for that Hubert. I stand corrected about Fine Time as well.

About the CD releases of every single. I think it would be neat even to just re-record ever single from Ceremony to Brutal in a 2002-suited manner. Like when they jazzed up True Faith in.. 94 or 96.... Just picure the beauty of In A Lonely Place rerecorder with modern equip... *drool* Like yeah.. They could have the original version, the album version, an instrumental, the b-side, a rerecorded version, a remix and a cover by someone else that most closely resembles the original track... THAT'D be sweet. btw, my band is planning on doing a metal cover of World (The Price Of Love). I'll let the site know when it's released. You know what? They should throw in Love Will Tear Us Apart too, that is the best JD song and is in my top 10 singles of all time for sure. Later.

They could put a live version too in it, couldn't they?

That too... For True Faith, they gotta have both versions live (Perfecto and original).

Good job on those CD issues, Hubert!!!!

Gee, if those really get released the way you described..I would die a very happy man.....

If they're very expensive, I would probably trade my first-born for those........
