Hi,

At the Wireless Festival, New Order signed a drum machine for auction in aid of Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy. This is a Boss DR670 drum machine, which is pretty cool, but when it's signed by New Order it's pretty priceless!!

To enter the auction and find out how it works (via text message) click on https://www.million21.com/games/hlwig/default.aspx?gameid=529

It's a reverse auction, so the lowest unique bidder wins - that means the winner is unlikely to pay more than a few quid! Check out the link for how this works.

Cheers!

So what? if you bid, you pay if you don't win?

I know it's for charity, but I'm trying to get the concept... ;)

Oh, I got it.. you must be the sole person with the amount you bid...

That's right - it's kind of complex, but pretty cool. So if you are the only guy on 5p, but two people have bids on 4p, then you are currently winning. Then if someone else bids 5p then the guy above you who is alone on 7p is the winner, and so on...

so we may as well all give £1.50 to charity & just give it to mr sultan now?

You could, and the charity would be delighted, but then you wouldn't have a signed drum machine from New Order...
