Sorry mate, I've no idea - never paid big money, my 12" was £12 remember? No, you probably wouldn't. CHEAPY CHEAP is my motto. Hope the neck is better soon, get the flowers and chocs bought, see you next time.

...well £30 then!

Yes, if it's the repress I wouldn't go more than £50. Of course if it's an auction then anything could happen if a few people want it.

Don't know if theres more than one pressing or format of this, but I saw a vinyl 12' EP of An Ideal for Living (1977 i think) in a record store off a backstreet on Oxford Street for £30. This was a couple of years ago - obviously it's gone now.

Don't pay bloody £650 - that's insanity! - Well, I think it is, but if you need it for the sake of your sanity then it isn't...

Go and scour market record shops - there's quite a lot out there who don't realise the true value of NO gems...

Paid just slightly more than £30, it is billed as a repress,but what i really want to know is which version came first, the anonymous copy or the enigma copy?

If the enigma copy was the original press then i thinks i needs to have a serious look at it when i recieve it,if it is a repress of a repress then i shal be getting my money back,but if its the original then i have gots me a bargain!

I'M sure there was a post regarding how to check the authenticity of the ifl presses,if anyone knows how to check if the copy is legit then lemmekno!

Regards

Done a bit more poking around regarding this one. It seems that the Enigma 7" was the ORIGINAL press,so therefore if the copy that i will soon be getting is LEGIT its worth £600+ !:eek:

Seems to good to be true at the mo,will post my findings once i recieve it.

Enigma 7" original: £400

Repress: £20

Others: varies between £10 and £70

That's what I've seen from dealers, second hand shops, etc.

I would honestly say that unless you are a true completist, don't bother - just burn the tracks to Cd after cleaning them up - better sound and you won't want to hang yerself when you spill coffee on it...

Enigma = 7" Anonymous Records = 12"

Sorry, I don't think you've made a bargain. Price is okay, but it is NOT a repress, IMHO it is a FAKE copy of the original, made to confuse people, and rip them off. I wouldn't buy any original now anymore, because you never can be sure if it is the real one. They are very hard to tell apart! Again, the repress is FRAUD IMHO! http://members.aol.com/lwtua/I3.htm
