I don't think we've got the tracklist for the new single, or who might be doing remixes just yet, so i'm curious what everyones choices would be if they had any say........for me, i think it would be great if they did some work with M83 or Ulrich Schnauss, i think they could do some great ambient mixes to go with an epic track like WTFSC! AS opposed to the typical dance mixes etc....any thoughts? :read:

I would love to hear a "Above & Beyond Remix" of a New Order track. I really don't think WFTSC is that much "remixable" but these guys do know how to do excelent remixes of an "almost unremixable" track, like they did with Madonna's "What It Feels Like For A Girl".

But a full remix wishlist would be: -Above & Beyond -Felix Da Housecat] -Flood -Ferry Corsten -Club 69 :thumb:

From what I've heard of Jetstream, give it to Richard X any time...

I'd rather have a couple of new tunes as b-sides. WFTSC is ok as it is.

The one track "Radio Edit" has surfaced :

but still no news on remixes.

I'm hoping for a 'double A' type thing with mixes of GIAUE:music:

i think the sabres remix of regret is great, and i would like to suggest the same treatment on wftsc(song).

It could work.

I would love hear what Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia or Digweed would do with this.

I think its about time a New Order single could do with a B-side, particularly considering the bad showing of "Jetstream" in the charts. They seem to have plenty of unreleased songs at the moment, so how about a B-side of a decent song to bring out the fans to actually buy the record?

It used to be NO's trademark to separate albums and singles - why dont they do this anymore? Surely it would make much more commercial sense. Maybe some of the guys at London Records need to have a quiet word....

:thumb: Definately , the x man has got the x factor.

His mix was the best of the jetsream mixes!

My request : NO FUCKING REMIXES! Alright I'm old skool, but really - what do they add? They just clutter up the catalogue with more and more versions of ever diminishing returns.

I think the Pet Shop Boys could do WFTSC some justice. There's alot of synthy stuff swirling away in the background they could "dance up"... do one of their "PSB Extended Mixes".

I've got the Tribute Mix 10" promo and despite some of the samples sounding incredibly out of place and embarrassing at times (Hooky's Thieves Like Us bass slide/Bizarre Love Triangle samples) I really like how the remixer has modified Barney's vox to have a sort of "ghost" shadow :thumb: The mellow bits of that mix are nice.

...are we going to see the Tribute Mix on the CD singles does anyone know?

yes that would be good. that will never happen. somehow kevin shields must, must, must have something to do with new order. when that day happens, i will listen to it once at incredibly high volume, and then take so much acid that i never come back and this fictional song runs through my mind until i die. yeah!
