Its a date Marco, I'll listen to it as soon as I claim my copy from Middlesbrough and meet you for cross examination.

The time I bought Technique I listened to it with headphones on the day it was released max. volume and nearly blew my own nose off my face. I knew the minute the bastard started I loved it.

It'll be the same with Get Ready, so when its played... I'll be back to discuss. It'll be good news Marco, well, here's hoping anyway.

I have!!!

I have four cans of Boddingtons Pub Ale, directly from Manchester, England, ladies and gentlemen!

Mixes very well with Get Ready, I might add. :D

Tins of Boddies eh? Should be Carling Premier or to be more in tune, Asti Spumante and Pernod.Have you tried it? Me and a couple of mates tried it once (or twice) - no wonder they call it a 'headache'!

Well...

I can't get my filthy little hands on it that day, but as soon as the postman brings it...it will be in heavy rotation at home and at work... what a day!!!!

Asti Spumante? Never heard of it.. maybe for the best, based on your own conclusions!

As for Pernod (well, it was Ricard actually -- same thing), I abused of it at one party I've been to and never touched it since!

Christ, I can't bloody wait!!!

After I saw them at Reading in 93 I thought it was all over. But the contrary bastards are BACK BACK BACK!!!

I took the day off when Republic came out so with NO day being a bank holiday I'll have all day to digest and enjoy the new album with a bottle of Jack Daniels to share with interested parties!

The only worry I have is after all the exitment and waiting am I going to be disappointed?

NAH!!! WHO AM I KIDDING I'M GONNA FUCKING LOVE IT. WoooHoooo!!

With Monday being a Bank holiday, will the shops have any deliveries of anticipated album,or do u think they'll get their stock on Friday?? Also,as I live on the south coast ,all the roads are clogged up with bloody holidaymakers!! Should I wait 'till Tuesday???

chrissy p, the album will be in at the weekend in 99% of shops, don't worry, they'll have a copy. if you can locate a virgin or a hmv they'll have a million boxes of the bastards - have some faith.

i might be in that queue your on about - but i'll stop by middlesbrough on my way out - that'll be like a ghost town.

Don't remind me. Many years ago as a teenager me and a mate set out to buy Pernod and Asti but ended up with Pomagne and Whiskey instead ... and downed the lot in pint glasses!!

I haven't been able to touch whisky again. Just the smell makes me reach!

Hi guys,

In reply to chrisp and Huntsman -

I used to work in a UK record store. The major labels DO NOT ALLOW stores to sell any product before its release date, so you won't get one before Monday. However, for a big band release such as this, they MAY get copies delivered on Saturday/Sunday.

It used to be the case that couriers such as 'Parcel line' and 'Securicor' did not deliver on UK Bank Holidays, though in these 'enlightened' times, this may have changed.

So - hopefully you'll get the album on Monday, but try not to be too 'Disappointed' if you have to wait until Tuesday.

Fingers crossed...

Weel, i was always lucky... My best mate worked on the record counter in Woolies when i was a teenager, and i ALWAYS got new releases a few days earlier than everyone else. I remember getting Repuublic on the Satrurday before it was released, and feeling really guilty in case my mate lost his job over it! lol

You will not be disappointed. The album is excellent. A good as Technique. Yes, that good....Stand out tracks are Rock The Shack and Turn My Way, but to be honest they're all good. Theres no filler.

I'm glad to see somebody else who likes Rock the Shack; for some reason some people don't like it.

I used to work in record shop about 10 years ago. They were the best of times, they were the worst of times,as Dickens once said. It was so long ago I'd erased the store's delivery policy from my mind.I'd always end up serving the smelly customers and those with halitosis!!! I'd tried to corrupt the record buying public by championing N.O at every oppotunity. Think I failed. BTW,if anyone's coming down south this bank holiday it's gonna be a hot one!!!
