Might be off the mark here, as I don't understand Japanese, but HMV Japan lists this:

Disc 1 is obviously the tracklisting as announced previously, but what is on disc 2?

Anyway, neworder story is a doccumentary they did around the 1993 'republic' tour. Lots of band interviews & loads of videos - I think its a great video & if it is comming out on DVD you should probably add it to your (growing) collection.
New Order Story better be on the UK DVD as well! If not they'd better be preparing New Order Story 2...

NOStory? what´s the point? it´s been 12 years since it was made and a lot of things happened in the way (2 NO records and many side projects). 12 years, that´s half NO´s life missing really!
but it's still interesting to watch to this day. unfortunately, i own the 60 minute US version instead of the full 120 min. UK version. it's like reading cliff notes.

I still don't get to this day why the US is the only place on earth to have an edited version...

Although my VHS is now 12 years old, it's still an excellent item to have in one's collection, so to have it on DVD would be even nicer!
I had no idea my American VHS was editied. I assumed that the 'NO Show' bits were from a longer BBC special or something but now that I know I'm missing a f@#$%'n hour of footage I'll have to make sure my hacked dvd player is up to par before I order the Japanese version. Thanks for the head's up.

Actually the NO Show is a fake show doing exclusively for NewOrderStory...

I was asking about specifics and please don't say it's anything super cool like un-earthed Joy Division footage, montages of Hooky jetskiing or 45 minutes of hardcore porn.
Is the American one really only an hour? I know they're famous for having short attention spans, but that's ridiculous...
As for what is missing, I haven't seen both versions so I couldn't say. Seeing as it's 1hr 20mins shorter it would probably be easier to say what they left in!
Basically it's the videos,the JD stuff in the beginning, the NO story stuff and it ends with that woman doing a voice over again and the final video is 'World.' That totally didn't help, I apologize.

Apparently someone's trying to make a buck by putting their Pumped Full of Drugs, Substance, and The New Order Story VHS tapes onto 2 DVD burns and selling them off at 17 bucks a pop. Hey, if you've never seen em before and you aren't worried about quality and are impatient, I'll turn a blind eye. But I'd rather have an official release down the line (I do have Pumped Full of Drugs and Substance on VHS tho!)

i have both versions and all i can say is the Full Version has a lot More, more Interviews, funny stories, some more live footage and Videos it runs about 2 Hours and 20 Minutes

a friend emailed who now works for Rhino, and he confirms that New Order Story will be on DVD 2.
i'm getting info on whether this will be on the UK and US DVD releases, and the length.. stay tuned..
