I read Barney in particular,produced alot without putting his name to much of the work,probably for alot of Factory bands e.g Durrutti Column, ACR etc...Any news, anyone?
Does anyone know any other bands they worked as producer for?

Two more I can think of.And they're good remixes. "Won't Stop Loving You" A Certain Ratio "Rocking Over The Beat (Rocking over Manchester Hacienda Mix)" Technotronic (!!?!)
Hooky and an assortment of others worked under the pseudonym 'Be Music'. Not sure how much of it was entirely Hooky alone but I do know that he produced all of the Stockholm Monsters' work after Hannett imploded at Erasmus and Wilson for not buying the Fairlight computer.
Be Music's production jobs were all put on a 2CD compilation called something along the lines of "Cool as Ice"

There are omissions and errors in the Allmusic list. It's worth checking the discography page of this website, more especifically the collaboration albums, EPs, singles, etc. Besides the side projects and their collaboration as musicians, you can see everything that was produced by New Order members there.
well barns,steve and hooky all have good producing talents,hardly suprising as how long they have been around,but my fave of the bunch has got to be barneys work on the marcel king 12" "reach for love/keep on dancing" absolute sublime 80s alt dance stuff,wish i still had it, but some ARSEHOLE nicked mine at a new years bash circa 1990. grrrrrrrrrrrrr
Section 25's "From The Hip" album is the best Barney production i have ever heard(for other bands). I think it's got some very New Orderish elements. Especially Inspiration and The Process.
Yup, check out the compilations "Cool As Ice" and "Twice As Nice" on LTM Records - has a great selection of Barney, Hooky & The Other Two's producing/mixing output. :)

Just found my list of production jobs that were done under the Be Music moniker for the most part.
Barney: Foreign Press (for EMI) Section 25 Shark Vegas (w/ DoJo) Surprize Marcel King (w/ DoJo) Happy Mondays He also supposedly was to have produced the Cool As Ice single for 52nd Street, but that was actually DoJo with Barney programming the synths for them as he did with Section 25 on Sakura (and later with Sub-Sub I think?)
Hooky: Stockholm Monsters Lavolta Lakota Ad Infinitum Some Now Are The Royal Family and the Poor Inspiral Carpets Stone Roses

Bernard was not only the producer of these two songs, but co-author as well, hence the similarity to New Order.

Right, according to the Cool as... collection. Hooky produced a version of Paranoid which was mixed by collapsed young. Uniform, along with the rest of the devil hopping album, was produced by pascal gabriel.

it was an EP from 1990--five songs on it. it's called cool as **** on the cover.
I knew they had a EP called Trainsurfing but never one called cool as fuck. But you live and learn
