I often have piss-ups with my mates round our house, and Bizzare love triangle is universally loved by everyone when drunk, even non fans....The more discerning of us argue over which version is best, when we are really pissed, and talking shite..Anybody else find a song that unites the crowd yet divides opinions, all in one go???Or a better party choon than BLT ![]()
Which New order song goes down well at piss ups?

Most of NO's music is great whilst pissed. I like the sound of Technique whilst under the influence, very great.

It does'nt take Carol Vorderman to,well..do the maths.. that obviously the fans really ave it, to new order when hammered...but I find BLT really unites CASUAL/NON fans at piss ups more than BM(which I was never that fond of to be honest)and True Faith (which was the song that first opened up my door to The Order,in doing so superceeding itself with about 30 other MINTOS choons. But BLT is so universal and utterly timeless, heck even my kids love it![]()
The Perfect Kiss goes over well with my drunk Pittsburgh brothers and sisters, they seem to like Krafty also. BLT always gets the crowd dancing or for the ones with heavy feet their head seems to lose control of it self. I really dont think anything is bad, others that a seem to fav by non-fans our, True Faith, Your Silent Face.
But loved most of all are Here to Stay (Felix the Housecat Remix) and a Someone Like You (Remix) not sure what the verison is called but it clocks in around 8:16 and starts with a womans voice.
Might I suggest Regret is a great piss up song, jumping up and down in unison, beer spilling everywhere, manly hugs, etc.... *cough*
:bag:
We were very high and possibly on mushrooms when I had some college mates watch the video for TPK. "this song peaks and peaks and peaks!" They enjoyed it.
BM is the obvious one played to pissed clubbers and to a beered up pub crowd but Crystal takes some beating when it comes down to jumping around like a nutter when pished up

Antything really,if you are talking of songs in clubs then it has to be bm or tf,as no one seems to know any of the other songs!
Or if you are talking songs at
's barbq's them owt by the order will do as thats all thats usually on my playlist! ![]()

Any of them. If you're with NOrder fans you're on safe ground, if not, you're drunk and have enhanced debating facilities.
If you're from Ingerland: WORLD IN MOTION is always guaranteed to appeal to the average inebrieted soul.
When my friends and I gather and get pissed, we love Your Silent Face, Leave Me Alone, As It Is When It Was, Ceremony, Run Wild and Dreams Never End, then it's onto Joy Division then onto Electronic.
The only song that most non order people know, you know, that catchy disco bop from 83, but wouldn't it be good to put on something like doubts even here and watch everyone go "what the chuffing eck's this"![]()

Oh and I loved the Love Will Tear Us Apart beer ads from a couple of years ago!
My favourite piss up song is Regret too for when you love everyone but Thieves Like Us is also fun when you are so drunk you think you're hilarious for substituting the word Drug for Love.

B.L.T.
Turn My way
60 Miles an hour
But i think the best one to sing along to with your friends when you have all got a right good wobble on has to be TEMPTATION............Great Words just like the rest...

Ha ha!! Didn't realise they used either of those on adverts.I have seen the "Sunkist" advert to Blue Monday."Sunkist is the one..."
If i've had the lads round before we go out on the tap,a few tinnies to get in the mood, and "Your Silent Face" pumped up to the full.Always gives me a lump in the throat![]()
True Faith or Regret are great for pissed up sing alongs
The group of us that were 18 escaped the horribly controlled high school graduation after party and went to a local music bar with late opening, and tried to bribe the DJ to play stuff more suited to our group than either the slappers or the 45 year olds in the corner... didn't take the bribe, did it anyway, and we had a load of drunk people who actually knew the words to Regret
