Does anyone have any thoughts on their favourite Barney guitar solo on a NO song, or even during a live song?
I think the solo at end of State of The Nation is pretty cool, as is the acoustic solo on Guilty Partner.
On the live front, Ive always liked the added guitar work Barneys done on Perfect Kiss.
The end solo of "Dream Attack", live. The most emotionally resonant thing he's played since the Joy Division days.
i like all the guitar on brotherhood- especially SON and way of life. i think i agree with agent wood on most barney topics actually

I know someone is going to kill me for this, but I right now i'm really in love with the solo from Rock the shack. And I also really love his solo's from the Brotherhood album. I don't think this really counts as solo's, but I've come around to being a fine time love because the guitar parts are amazing on it.

Sorry just getting used to seeing "State of the Nation" and "pretty cool" in the same post 
As for favourite guitar solo, I've always found the plucking on Love Vigilantes really catchy, and some of the power strumming on earlier singles like Everything's Gone Green and Temptation is pretty spine-tingling.
The spazzy bit at the end of Love Vigilantes (You know - chg-achg-achg-achg-ahcg-a-chg-achg-achg).
Not really a guitar solo but... stupid, histrionic, brilliant and faux-naive. Only New Order could get away with it.
Sunrise or Age of Consent have always been favoured Bernard guitar parts for me to play. You probably have to go back to Denial for a great one though!
does anybody have the tab for that last part of love vigilantes? i know it's only 2 chords but i can't figure out which.
I can only think of ONE real guitar solo, and that's actually a duet ( yes I did go to the Murray walker school of explanations). I'm thinking of the call and response thinkg between barney and hooky on shellshock.
There's also some scarey guitar on confusion, but either barney's been hiding the fact that he's really pat metheny all these years or it's a bluffer.

Is it G and F barre chords alternating (played at high end of guitar)?
