Hi there... anybody managed to GET those? I'd love too, but iTunes won't let me order the JLC 2nd Remix off iTunes UK, and Napster won't even allow me to SEE the UK site.

It's a bit stupid, as they are not helping themselves, but what do you want...

I am now trying to enter these in the discography... I guess it's a new type of release.. I just noticed iTunes UK has "New Order Essentials" as a digital album!

Well, it has never been fully answered as yet, but I reckon the JLC 2nd Remix is the same on both the UK 12" and CD singles (also listed as such on iTunes for both the 12" and CD single)...

Ah, the "New Order Essentials" digital iTunes album is Apples choice of a 'Best Of'...

Blue Monday 7:24 New Order International - The Best of New Order True Faith 5:49 New Order International - The Best of New Order Bizarre Love Triangle 6:42 New Order International - The Best of New Order Ceremony 4:24 New Order International - The Best of New Order Touched by the Hand of God 7:02 New Order International - The Best of New Order Round and Round 4:31 New Order Technique Crystal 6:51 New Order Get Ready Confusion 4:41 New Order International - The Best of New Order 60 Miles an Hour 4:35 New Order Get Ready The Perfect Kiss 4:48 New Order Low-Life Thieves Like Us 6:36 New Order International - The Best of New Order Regret 4:08 New Order Republic Sooner Than You Think 5:12 New Order Low-Life Every Little Counts 4:25 New Order Brotherhood Here to Stay 3:56 New Order International - The Best of New Order

The only exclusives on the UK iTunes are the Pete Heller Vox and the Pete Heller Dub mixes (the latter also being available on the US Jetstream CD single, so the 'Vox' mix is, at the moment, exclusive to iTunes).

Haven't tried Napster yet... :)

So you don't have the Bunker Mix yet Nick?

How dare you?!

The Bunker Mix is one of the better ones. Plus Ana's not on it. At least I don't think so - I only listened to half of it... Good mix of an average song.

Is it any different or is it the same song but without Ana (ie, advanced promo version)

Let me know the length please.

As I've said in the past I am convinced that this "Jacques Lu Cont 2nd remix" is simply the remix included on the UK CD2 + 12". Identical remixes sometimes have differring titles and it would make sense that the JLC 2nd is the one on the UK CD maxi as it was left off the other 7 track Jetstream CD/CD-R promos (PR015414 etc.) When it comes to marketing the mix to the public, they're not going to call it "2nd remix", that sounds like a studio label that was obviously renamed for public release, and I believe this is what's misleading people to believe it's an entirely different mix.

The one piece of concrete evidence I can offer to back my opinion up is that I downloaded the "Jacques Lu Cont Remix / 2nd" from iTunes and it is indeed identical to the mix on the UK CD 2  Mystery solved as far as I'm concerned. I remember seeing the one track London CDR promo for this mix on eBay for about £30... As for the Bunker mix, I haven't got it yet because I can't really be arsed installing Napster. But I'm in a completist mood at the moment regarding my New Order collection so I'll check it out when I can.

I'd like to nominate the Ana Bridge Vox of Jetstream as the most pointless mix we've ever had (next to Andy Green's Krafty), one single vocal track added for about 10 seconds but aside from that it's identical to the album version  Why on earth didn't they just put the Ana Bridge Vox on the album?

To amend my previous post, I just downloaded "Jetstream - The Bunker Mix" from Napster UK and it seems to be a variation of the premix version that was floating around a month or two before WFTSC's release. They seem to be identical except The Bunker Mix fades out a little later and contains a bit towards the middle of the song where Barney "du-du-du"'s the Jetstream melody, nothing new to report aside from that. No Ana too of course.

Jetstream (Premix) - 5:05Jetstream (The Bunker Mix) - 5:38

Krafty buggers  so I guess that clears up the mystery of those two remaining remixes. I think we also agreed Krafty (Bernard's Re-Edit) from Napster UK was simply the Album version (I certainly couldn't notice any differences) I also notice Naptster no longer offer it for download... either that or they've renamed it.
