Enhancements to the site...

I think the site could use and update but i am very happy with what is provided at the moment. Some more history, especially about factory records would be great. Maybe a featured song of the week, where we can go back and remember songs that we may not have listened to for a while. But overall i think this site is one of the best i have found

I would add the missing material to the discography part rather than spent time on design aspects. This site looks great and doesn't require a lifting.

Love this message board... to make it look more neworderish you could base the whole design around the bluemonday 12". That would be interesting.

Can we expect a decent search engine for the discussion forums please? It would help ppl not bashing newbies about already discussed topics :D

Spotnik, if possible could you build the following into the message

When you revisit a topic could it automatically take you to last posting when you last visited said topic (i.e. you visit a topic which has 50 posts, when you revisit that topic (which now has 150 posts) it takes you to posting 50)

I think this site is absolutely fab. Just, as mentioned before, try and update the discography. Any UFO's spotted yet, Nick? Circling around your house, eagerly waiting for yet another 1000postsabduction! Eat lots of garlic mate, it works with vampires might do the same to those little green men:D

It's about the fact that I connect both from work & from home, with 2 different machines. There always seem to have new topics/replies on the boards, while nothing is really new - it's just that the unread threads accounting is stored on my PCs, and not on your server for my login (therefore, 2 PCS = 2 different totals). If it is clear enough...

Would it be possible for me to play tunes from the audio archive and post on this forum at the same time without opening multiple browers windows ??

How about, instead of the snazzy intro you've designed now, when you click on the site a gigantic gorilla in a bowler hat and red pants comes on the screen and starts lunging towards the NewOrderOnline.com logo and.....no no, that's too silly :D

Just noticed Nicolas you are on 999 posts as well. Please don't disappear on us like a few of the other regulars have done already (Martian before Christmas, and fellow webmaster Sebastien just after new year...). This site is most excellent and the work the both of you have put into it so far cannot go unapplauded. And I hope someone else steps into the moderator seat and releives the burden somewhat for you... best of luck - and long may it contnue. Cheers.

Well, I'm in the same situation as you, Pitch. It's very easy to sort it out though : just check times of the last posts and add 6 hours for CET time.

That's how I do it anyway and it works well

Ok, enough drama... I will post something that is relevent to this post. I think that the site is wonderful as it is but maybe could have some of the following:

1. Major links on the home page for new visitors to NOO like Top Ten (songs, albums, etc.),
2. More information on the band members and as another person mentioned earlier, more info on Factory
3. Seperate the news page by month/year so it doesn't take as long to load

That is all I can think of, like I said though the site is great. I don't know difficult my suggestions would be or how helpful but I tried.

Good job guys on the site so far, one of the best I have seen in a while!

Oh, and more polls! :)

How about adding some kind of search function to the tours and concerts section. And also the fourm takes ages to load for me, but i think thats just due to a few hundred thousand km's of cable rather than it taking a long time to load the database up on your server.

I'd like to see more contests. No prizes are neccessary, I think victory is reward enough. Let's see who will be crowned the king of NO.

That would be great, indeed. Other solution: to mark the message you've already read in one thread.

How about updating the articles section?

I'd like to see some flashing banner ads, some Java pop-up windows for online casinos, a couple of those punch the monkey games, and maybe a marquee with live weather and stock quotes.

Seriously, though, I've logged about 147 kazillion hours in Photoshop and would be happy to contribute my servies in any way they could help.

Sloppy are you trying to log in at the point where you try and post a reply? That had me foxed for a while ,if so go back to the home page and click on the 'log in' icon, if that doesn't work....I don't have the fillius foggiest

No, I'm OK to log in, but as soon as I try to post on the old login it comes up with a database error, then prevents me from accessing any other pages or logging out. One of my work colleagues can't even login at the moment, it's not recognising the password she was given !

I still like my gorilla idea....
