If an alien came down, which NO song would you play/show them to explain the genius?

For me, it has to be video of the Perfect Kiss because it has everything: great bass, keyboards, guitar, the 'voyetra' moment (where Gillian looks at them like they are her children - so I've read on here!).

In addition, you've got Bernard playing the flower pot AND the quiet/reflective bit at the end which perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the band.

Oh boy... The polls get more and more weird these days... I wouldn't know what taste this alien has. Perhaps any music will make him shoot me with his raygun... And so it may be better to play something to make him go back to where he came from... (I know I'm too rational... :evil4: ).

Anything with frog sounds in will appeal to aliens.

RUN! :D

Perhaps "Jetstream" will help. The "airplane sound" at the beginning may remind him of a starting UFO...

Okay Okay, we're getting a little too into this alien thing (but it made me chuckle so cheers!) - what I meant was if you had to get someone who had no concept of NO to understand them in a song, what would it be?!

My choice for this one would be "True Faith"! They would probably think it a home video or their last family reunion.

I tried everything with my friends, co-workers and even with my parents...but nothing worked...

I think that their genius is obvious in EGG.

Probably either True Faith, 1963, Regret, The Perfect Kiss or Confusion.

I would say True Faith. That icey cold feeling that song gives you can't be matched.

Play them any song if they don't understand the genius its their loss.

yup, course I'll be 17 tomorrow. :D Its cause I go to art school, lol. I've been working on figuring out the guitar for EGG, and I think I've got a bit of it down. I've been watching the tarus show from '81, but does anyone know how to play it for sure? I think the aliens would need to know how to play it to understand its full genius.

thieves like us is brillant and doesnt even need lyrics. Aliens probably would not understand the many different earth people's languages.

Barney says he really saw an alien, so ask him what he played

Aliens?

I'd play Fine Time. I think the electronic sheep are communicating something only advanced life forms would understand.

if i wanted to get rid the alien and his fellow invaders i'd play fine time or jetstream. if i wanted to let him know about new order's exsistance i'd show him 24 hr party ppl or play him dream attack :music:

Age of Consent. Has brilliant songwriting, very jazz-like structure with everyone getting their solo. Absolute genius there.

Or EGG- still have never heard another song like it.
