I just bought this album from a bargin bin and can confidentley say it was the worst 12 bucks I ever spent. What the heck was going on when they realeased this. BLT is shocking, all the intros go for about 3 minutes, and confusion is 10 mins of well, confusion:confused: . Don't even get me started on Age of Consent, latin style. Bongos have no place on NO albums in my opinion.:nonono: :nonono:

What's the deal? Am I missing some hidden genious here? Or is this album treated with contemp among NOers? I'm interested to hear the opinions of others on this. I'm trying to find something good about this album - i'm really tempted to snap it in half! No, I wouldn't do that. BUt what could have been a really good realease is ultra crappy.

But salvation is in sight. Republic and the other two are coming my way thanks to a friendly Dublinite (you know who you are CuanaD!)so I can look forward to hearing some good stuff soon. :music: :music:

I didn't think it was THAT bad! Sure, BLT's Armand Van Butcher the Original mix was horrific. There are some good mixes on here though.

True Faith's Shep mix is on there; World (Perfecto Mix) [Perfecto Edit is better]; TBTHOG (Biff & Memphis remix) is excellent, IMO. Hardfloor mix of BM and the RIAD (Reunited in a Day mix). The Confusion mix was long and nowadays seems overplayed and Age of Consent mix was.. different. I can't remember much of it or what else is on this album. The vinyl had that CJ Bollocks mix and some strange version of EGG. All in all, it had some stinkers but I think there were some good ones on there, as well.

I have to agree that the majority is crap, but TBTHOG is brilliant, the bonus blue monday disc has some interesting mixes on aswell, like the chord prog on the regae version, but not the dub style bass.

Must admit that I thought the whole thing was crap, but I never like New Order songs remixed by other people, with a couple of exceptions. I bought the album simply because I buy all official releases..

Yup, I'm a sucker for punishment... :(

Confusion and TBTHOG are a bit screwed, but otherwise a great remix album...

Remember being totally confused ( -heh- ) when DOOM'S NIGHT came out and a sample of confusion was quoted on the credits...

Turns out it was a sample from the remix from (rest of), the remix that sounds nothing like the original!

I agree. It's lovely.

perfect kiss is of course the exeption to my bongo rule. They aren't used in a latin context on perfect kiss like they are here.

I have warmed to the hardfloor mix of blue monday, though.
