Why not... German TV used Coldplay's "Speed of sound" for the Confed. Cup.
At a recent "I-have-to-buy-new-CDs"-attack I had, I heard them playing WFTSC (the album), at the record store I went to...
How about a NO-spotting-thread?
on BBC1 Krafty and HNWYD (almost in it's entirety) were played during that hairdresser drama "Cutting It" a few weeks back. Also LWTUA after the lead blokes woman died in a car accident. Happy happy joy joy!
There's is a german TV (reality?)show where they use the "Someone like you"-Intro... I don't get which show it is now... But I'll find out one day and then I'll tell you...
It would be good if all the TV stations actually stated, 'Music from the album/single xxxxx by New Order' I think the sales would go up considerably then. ![]()
Sometimes they do so, but it's mostly when the TV-station has produced the band or singer itself...
yep, I wish TV progs would credit the music at the end - bugs the hell out of me when i hear a good tune and i can't source it.
does anyone remember a footie prog that used to go out on bbc may years ago around about 6.30 on a weekday - hosts included that Damon from Brookside fella and Shelley (wife of Neil) Webb? Tehy used to play v.cool music and credit it at the end - that's how i first heard the excellent "Cannonball" by The Breeders.
Can anyone rember what the prog was called?
HTV (Croatian main television) used to play the opening of True Faith before sports matches, handball and waterpolo (not footbal though) a few years back.
I'm sure not many of you would have caught the recent wot not to wear summer special (or should that have been sumner special?
) that had new order all over it like a rash...I think they used crystal, hey now, turn...
perhaps trinny and susannah are no fans?
Delilah - actually, my girlfriend taped it and we watched it together. She wanted to watch it and I just sat there. Until I realised New Order were used for the soundtrack! ![]()
channel 4 seem to prefer the ian brown version of mancunian magic...think they've trailored a couple of progs (think it was dispatches and that series about stepchildren) with F.E.A.R and summat from solarised...
