got in from a wedding on friday night-stroke saturday morning fell asleep on couch only to be woken a around 2.30am by the all too familiar thump thump thump of blue monday on totp2,and top dj stroke pompous twat steve wright over dubbing how awfull it was live ect. to be fair it was a bit naff but thats not the reason for the post,the version that was played on totp was supposedly the 7" version of the tune (released in poland i have been led to belive)and im sure i actually saw this disc once but it may be my memory playing up eh. anyone else know?? digimike? anyone??

The offical re-released remixes; 88 and 95 (I think) were singles as well as 12". The '83 version wasn't.
This TOTP performance is also on the original NewOrderStory it may have been preserved on the forthcoming ITEM, along with the soul quaking Sunkist advert...
the version they played on TOTP was a very edited (at the last minute by the sound of it) live version, the beeb didn't like anyone playing live in them days and they had problems getting all there gear checked by bbc engineers before they could get the stuff set up, Barney was probably ill as he always seems to be, the gear was unreliable, the bbc made it hard for them, barney will have been completely off his face. no wonder it wasn't so good!
