i don't know if this has been posted before, but I found it amusing

JAMIE AND THE MAGIC TORCH

In the sweltering heat of the summer of 1976 one of the artists working on the series forgot to add a substance to the paint which meant that it would not stick to the animation cells. Every cell had to be scraped clean and repainted. The guilty artist? None other than Bernard Sumner.

To compensate, he's been adding substances to everything else he's done ever since!

Jamie And The Magic Torch was a Cosgrove Hall Production (I was more a Danger Mouse fan myself) and whilst he worked there, Barney used a copying machine made by the Albrecht company. Hence the adopted surname.

silly old barney

i always enjoyed dangermouse- wasn't that the one john squire worked on?- but jamie and the magic torch was very much branded on my youthful subconscious, especially the rocking theme song. and you have to admit the plotline was clearly drug influenced.

Somehow, it really doesn't suprise me that he was the one who messed it all up.
