I have the only known copy of the white label test pressing on blue vinyl, radio promo 12" of the withdrawn Vanishing Point single, produced exclusively for the head of Festival Records, Michael Grudinsky.
I own a mint Statue Of Little Lewey, an original gold True Faith leave badge, and two 10" JD acetate discs, one of 'Transmission' and one of 'Decades' once owned by Martin Hannett.
Oh and I've got both SALVATION on video, and the SALVATION Movie soundtrack on vinyl.Video would be great only for the fact that my video player plays PAL,and the vid is NTSC.
If anyone wants it,they can have it for free,I'll post it on to them!![]()

I wouldn't mind the video, I used to watch it periodically when my local video store had it. Not a great movie, but hey, Exene is in it so it isn't a total wash.
Suppose my "rarity" (don't think it's especially rare though) is the first US Factory cassette of PC&L with the song title Only The Lonely on the second side.
I can source the original 'M1' referred to in "I've Got A Cock Like The M1"
Unique rarity, accept no imitations - this is the original. Some restoration.
Slightly soiled.
A vinyl bootleg called "They Came, We Saw, They Conquered" with an orange cover and a press clipping on the outside indicating it as the first live gig they played as "New Order" - the crowd is piss drunk and barney is cursing a storm at them during the performance lol. Haven't heard it since I packed away my turntable, but I guess I'll give it another listen now that the 7" singles are coming out...

these are the only (sensible) things listed so far i don't have so you win.
btw - wasn't their a thread about this already? (what's in your collection, or top 20 new order rarities for instance)

Where is this thread? I can't locate it.

Ronald - sorry, they're not particularly rare - easy to pick up in most 2nd hand stores in the UK. I managed to collect five!
A good thing to own one though!

I've got the video, the vinyl, the CD and the cassette... No DVD yet... Is this a competition? ![]()
Oh, and a bit of advice to anyone considering buying the film on any format - it is utter SHITE. Only get it if you're a NO completist... There you go, I've saved you a few quid!

I didn't think it was too rare. I just never saw one here in the shops before. I guess I mainly concentrated on 12"ers in the olden days.
I do have some reasonably rare stuff, but nothing exclusive.
A couple of FBN vinlys, TF cdv, retro disc 5.
I didn't know Salvation is deemed to be rare. I have an Oz pressing of same.
Japanese Blue Monday 7" b/w Confusion. One of about 20 I am led to believe. Most of the balance of which is reportedly stacked in Hooky's closet! ![]()

Very rare as I'm sure yer aware :D - the only one I've seen was in a programme Tony Wilson was on (Stylish Houses or something like that) He also had a wicked collection of Posters an all.
There were only a handful of these made I think I've read.
Cerysmatic.info should have more details but I cannae be arsed to go and look!
The only rarities of any kind I have are that Retro bonus disc and the Saville soundtrack.. and I suspect most people here probably have both!
A question though - does Soundtrack qualify as New Order's longest single piece? hum.
haha, they mention me on Cerysmatic, never noticed that before. I am the silly person who bought the original FAC1 poster on eBay. I was outbid on another auction where an almost complete set of Factory output was auctioned (singles, LPS's, 12inches,posters, i mean the lot!), the guy who bought it (owner of a well known website) paid $10.000 for it. Dead cheap compared to what was sold. If I had been the winner I would have published a full colour book with al the Factory art in it. Alas...better luck another time...
