Avatar & Pictures -- PLEASE READ

I have been working this week-end to finalize the new profile editor, and beside display tweaking, I'm confident it's finished.

The biggest impact will be a total change on the way you sent pictures to this website. Basically, now you can send up to 5 pictures on NOOL (unlimited for contributors -- if you don't abuse of course).

In your profile, you pick the one which is going to be your avatar, and the one going to be your profile picture.

It might be a pain to set all this up, and it will fix the problems encountered on this website:

1. upload not always working
2. ability to upload pictures to show in posts
3. size of avatar not ok

And I'm sure I can thing of others.

If you find something fishy, let me know. At least time time I'll always have the original picture to check problems! as I'm storing the original one you are sending.

P/S: Only problem I saw is the loss of animation if you send a gif... this is something I'll fix eventually.

What does the option below mean? "Enable Email Notifications of forum/thread subscriptions and replies to my posts" It is now set to "No". Would it mean that if it was "Yes" I'd get an E Mail message just to tell me I have subscribed a thread or anyoneone has replied to any of my posts?

It will eventually, it's not coded yet ;)

Actually it will be to thread you have started, as it's impossible to know if somebody replied to your post or not...

Yes, but do you really want to see all messages in thread that you participate? I mean, this would be a lot of emails... hence why I think it would be more appropriate to be on thread you started, then if you wish to subscribe to one, you know what to do...

It says "format must be JPEG or GIF"... but the pics on the discography section are JPEGS, right?

I think I have a theory... rename the file to "filename.jpg" and it will work.

The bug is simply, I check for JPG or GIF after the dot.. files in the discography are xxx.333.small.jpg, so it's comparing 333.small.jpg instead of jpg

I'd call that a bug, but usually filenames don't have double dots ;)

That's not possible... the forum works on the exact same page.. can you lead me to an example?

Let me clarify this. When you open a thread my profile becomes hidden. But if you go to the thread list, when it says last message posted by so and so..... You can see my name then.

That is a bug then.
