I would never give a band named elbow a chance.

the band that supported new order on the liverpool warm up gig for the get ready tour (the one with that whiney american bald bloke billy coggins)

i too have bumped into mr garvey in manchester, & he is a very cordial bloke indeed.

just realised that Elbow were the blokes on SoccerAM last Saturday morning. thought they were Doves. still haven't heard any of their music either. don't like the name. are they any good?

They're great, especially the first LP. Still paid no attention to them at the Olympia 'cos I spent the duration of their set being ignored by the inept barstaff.....

yea i saw soccer a.m.the band were saying they had an arguement for 17 hours about wether french people could break dance. they are matey with doves,in fact guy garvey does the laaa laa's on the doves track-'almost forgot myself again'. elbow's stuff is moody(too moody at times),dreamy, atmospheric!!!.they take care to make all the fine details in their music just right. ive seen them live 4 times and its always been very pleasant and intimate. FOOK ME,I AM GETTING DEEP HERE
