fuck the NME and all that. Melody Maker was a much better rag anyway.

anyway - todays Manchester Evening News said this, and gave it five stars out of five:-

"New Order are back to their understated best with WFTSC. Its a ballad - well, New Order's energetic, electronic version of a ballad - which provides the best kind of platform for Bernard Sumner's vocals. Musically, it evokes memories of much earlier offerings from Manchester's most enduring band. Hooky's bass has been turned down to blend perfectly with a soothing bed of synth rock. Best of all, it paints a picture of escaping from this city for adventures amid sunnier climes. Which is exactly where New Order have always excelled. Fantastic."

At last ! I couldn't agree better. They finaly get a decent praise as they so much deserve. Thanks to that.
