Control- casting

According to Joy Division Central, Samantha Morton will play Deborah Curtis. I'm not sure where they got this information from, but she is a really good actress. She was great "In America". So this seems very promising.

Hope's it true ,she's a great actress and i could see some resemblance to Deborah. I also hope Paddy Considine reprises his role as Rob Gretton. It's like he became him in 24pp. It was almost creepy. Also, it would be a reunion for Morton and Paddy who were both in "In America". An ok film that was made worth it by its cast.

Don't forget that she worked with our own Michael Winterbottom in Code 46.

She's a great actor and her presence in 'Control' (if true) will help give it some street cred with the critics.

paddy considine--great as rob gretton, but too many expectations after his 24HPP role. let's get some new blood in for the role.

I think that would be a mistake if they dont have Paddy. Anybody else would be a letdown.

i like both those actors, but don't forgot they have to play in the age of teens to early (very early) twenties

yep,paddy was tops as rob in 24 hr.will take some getting used to if someone else plays him in this.just imagine being typecasted as rob though

easy for samantha morton. she's very young looking, anyway.

but again, having paddy considine play rob gretton in two movies that aren't part of a serial might, as mentioned above, result in typecasting. also, who knows what another actor could do with the part? there might be someone out there who could do an equally convincing job.

Glad Samantha got the part! Fingers crossed for Paddy getting the Gretton.Just need Ian,fingers crossed for Cillian Murphy.Must admit Jonathan Rhys Meyer may be good,if he put some meat on his bones! At the moment,I'd say he was more a Peter Murphy (Bauhaus). How about John Simm again for Barney? Couldn't quite see Ralf Little as Hooky somehow.

Oh and Mr Anton Corbjn,(that doesn't look right spelling,don't tell him),if you want some local crowd scenes,especially giggers,look no furthur than the NOOL Massive who would only be too willing to make an appearance!!

same cast? then it would be 24HPP part deux--or at least this is what audiences might expect. it's hard to imagine other people playing rob gretton or barney because we've never seen anyone else play rob gretton or barney.

this is a different story and deserves a fresh cast, not a rehash of 24HPP no matter how good the actors were in that film.

i am looking forward to seeing this movie but who will play ian curtis i thought the guy from 24hr was very good and also weirdly convincing. jude law was mentioned but who knows
