According to Joy Division Central the British actress Samantha Morton is to play the role of Deborah Curtis in the forthcoming movie about the life of Ian Curtis which goes under the working title 'Control' and is being directed by Anton Corbijn.

I thought it should probably be her or Emily Watson - obviusly shes probably too old, but they both have the kind of 'look' that would fit the part.
At the same time Martin? Niiice.
Anyway, I thought Victoria Wood was a shoe-in for the role, obviously not...

Freak Like Me was used in The Guru wasn't it? Wouldn't it be strange to hear a Sugababes song in a film about JD.
I'm really curious as to why there is a track called "Joy Division" on there.
i suspect it was the writer or producer who is the JD/NO fan. sugababes are a bunch of chavs who get people to write fairly decent pop tunes for 'em.

Post-punk miserablists from the late 70's / early 80's, I believe? Released a couple of decent singles, and a couple of albums, then disappeared without a trace. Don't think they've even played live since 1980 or something?
