It's time to rock the shack.
The more I listen, the more I really like this one. Anybody else like it? Why is everybody so down on it? Discuss...

a pretty weak imitation of the Stooges with horrible lyrics and an embarrassing chorus... Barney sounds drunk, acting like a dinosaur, lamely trying to be a kid again... and it goes on two minutes too long... Working Overtime sounds much tighter and has a better rhythm section
... maybe thats too mean, but its not exactly New Order's brightest moment

That wouldn't matter live, though, would it? Considerin' an' all... ;)
Seems like the lyrics/chorus are a major problem to lots of people - loads of NO lyrics are CRAP, but in this cast it doesn't bother me - I think its a great track, always enjoy screaming along to it in the car (on my one naturally - i'm not allowed to 'sing' in public - too embarrasing)
i have been a rock the Shack Supporter since it came out! its a really good song, much better than anything on WFTSC (except fot the title track) Blows jetstream out of the Water

sounds like you ARE talking about Working Overtime? please WO might possible be a worse song than jetstream. there is no effort put into that song they basically just covered 1969 and changed the lyrics
Sorry to say that but "rock the shack" sounds like"sympathy for the devil" from the "rolling stones"…
I'm thinking about the lyrics… still sceptical about this one… ![]()
The sort of high-pitched screeching as the song progresses is actually very interesting. It makes the song worthwhile, IMHO.
My opinion expressed in a Barney's rhyming couplet redux:
Get Up Jack, it's time to hit eject.
