Discovery died a death back around 92/93 me ole fruitcake. The we had Our Price till about 4 years ago and since then the mighty Corby hasnae got one fucking record shop. Tis a disgrace. You from Corby then?

I thought there were CD's coming out, but maybe I've caught the wrong end of yet another stick.

Either way - I have nae singles and nae slipcase. I'm still as pissed off now as I was when I posted last night.

shug - thought i'd already said you could have one of mine?

Although my experience of receiving the 7" slipcase (I was lucky) may not be the same as some, I was very disappointed with the recent performances of the two biggest retailers in my current nearest city.

One failed to remember to stack the vinyl shelves on the Monday (26th), and STILL hadn't got the three 7" 'WFTSC' singles when I visited the city on the Tuesday morning?!?

The other has (also) consistantly failed to stock sufficient Simple Minds CD singles, PVD singles.

I'm wondering whether I'm going to find any Depeche Mode CD singles tomorrow.

Standards are clearly slipping. But in the end, quality music of integrity is going to be the loser in the long term.

hmm, surely zero is a sufficient number of simple minds cds post "the american"?

Only joking matey. Discovery was ace - I used to work there and got my hands on many a New Order 12" remix - Our Price were pretty useless for anything other than Boyzone cd's, etc... but it was better than nothing, which is incredibly what Corby has now. Having said that, most record shops are shite anyway - you're better buying online.
