With all these slip ups recently made by warners: Bent slipcases, non recieved slip cases, no posters with pre ordered singles collections etc etc, maybe warners are just trying to keep in with the way factory used to be.

I do think we're all being a little too harsh on HMV, they rely on the Record company to deliver the goods so if it goes wrong there, HMV can't deliver what they ain't got

The fact is that HMV have chosen this week of all weeks to move their online operation to Guernsey and as such haven't been able to despatch anthing for 3 days. If I had ordered from CD-wow, Play, Sainsbury's or anywhere else I would have had the Singles CD by now and probably the DVDs too. I could have picked Singles up from Sainsbury's for £9.77 250 yards from my house. But no, I want the poster and will be very pissed off if I don't get it. They were still advertising it when I cancelled and reordered on Monday night so I should get it.

The slipcases I received weren't bent, if they were it could be cos your letter box is too small, the same would have happened with Jiffy bags.

There were also a finite amount of them so inevitably some people would miss out.

HMV deserve stick for not getting the 7" singles despatched in good time and the same is happening with Item & Singles. I don't care about their operational rejig, they are delaying my enjoyment of new New Order product and I am minded to write to Warner to get them to do exclusive stuff through a more reliable operation such as Amazon who have always got things to me promptly.

Amazon? I pre-ordered 'Item' 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't even been despatched. Don't talk to me about f**king Amazon... :baby:

I pre-ordered Singles and the WFTSC CD single from Amazon UK and as of earlier today they still hadn't been shipped, despite both supposedly being released on Monday.

So I canceled the CD single today and re-ordered from siren and they've shipped it already. Too bad their packaging is so shoddy. I know the case will arrive cracked or worse.

OK, I should have said Play or CD-wow, but that just wouldn't happen would it? A shop pick up would have been better, reserve it and Bob's your uncle.

so if it'd been any other week that would've been fine? abit childish, no? they've obviously done it for a reason, maybe to bring prices down a little more and make them more competetive?

Not childish at all. They have 2 New Order exclusives, both of which are released on the day they decide to move and suspend their operations for 3 days. Incidentally, they have not advertised this fact, I only know this from someone posting this info here as the reason they were given for their order having not yet been despatched. When I pre-order something, I expect to recieve it on the day of release or soon after, otherwise why pre-order it? The goods are usually received a few days in advance of the release so they should be ready for despatch.

Ordinarily I don't use their online service as I prefer CD-wow. So any other day would have suited me just fine.

Obviously, their reasons would be financial & in order to be more competitive. They need to be, they don't compete with CD-wow or Play. And with their service, I am unlikely to use them again.

I recieved my copy of "Singles" from Siren Disc today. I can't beleive that I would get an Import from England via California, and then to Ohio earlier then someone from Britain.

Alas, I didn't get the promotional poster, but it's nice to hear a crisp clear version of the original Ceremony. Hope Warners gets their shit together and comes through with the promotional items soon.

I can't complain about HMV UK too much since they did come through with the bonus disk, when I ordered Retro through them. Hope everyone gets their Singles CD soon.
