...he was blissfully happy married from his teens. What would Barney write about?

More songs about Vietnam? The worlds problems or travelling? Or would another member have taken over as chief songwriter?

I reckon he's got enough angst in him to write loads- even if he was happily married from year dot.

is there such a thing as being happily married from your teens? if so, he would have prolly gotta that job in a bank or gotten some other menial job to support the family and no New Order... or maybe if he lost his job at the bank he would have become a heroin addict and been on the dole , with no New Order to fall back on. prolly would have gotten real fat and have had a heart attack and died by now... so maybe New Order and the acid, coke, and extascy helped save Bernard's life.

Yeah, and wot if his mum and dad were happily maried, he had brothers and sisters and had a nice middle class up bringing.

It didn't happen, he is what he is, a product of a working class salford single mum, being married young didn't help IC why would it have helped Barney, wife's and the music biz don't mix unless you have a very trusting and forgiving (or greedy) wife.

saying that, how about new lyrics for true faith if this were the case:

I feel so ordinary, Nothing at all is wrong with me, I get this feeling life's so peachy, I'm devoted to my family.

There is always something to moan about for a songwriter,whatever their situation is/was..We never get rid of our problems,we just replace them with new ones.Rich or poor, that's how we are it seems to me..
