And we all know who is number one...... Franz Fucking Ferdinand! ![]()
Oh yippee yay yay!!!
14 is a bit shite actually, considering the advertisment campaign on TV. I was half expecting top 10 which is what NO usually manage with their best ofs (Substance at 3, Best Of at 4 and Rest Of at 5).
Anyone know how far the single has dropped down the top 75 then? If it's still in the top 75 that is. ![]()

It's number 57 now.

I'd rather listen to early Depeche Mode (
) than Franz "the sound of young Scotland my arse!" Ferdinand.
Something about them just annoys me. Too hip and trendy for their own good. A classic case of a "right place at the right time" band.

Nothing wrong with that. They have tunes to back it up.
Going to see them in November.

Unfortunately, the franz seem to think that they are the band of the moment (not),there are a loads of better new bands out there these days! They didnt exactly live up to their hype anyways!
back to the topic in hand,i couldnt give a fook about chart position anyways ,a freind of a friend of a friend tells me that no have sold 37 million "units" worldwide,do not know what he means by "units" but he does work for warners.
if that was just the warners count then what is the actual figure?

Loads of better bands out there? Yeah, like who? Whats wrong with FF? And I think they have lived up to their hype as the follow up album is far better than the debut. ![]()

What single?![]()
this complilation was kinda put out quick, and so far they are not going to even bother with the USA... did they promote it much in the UK? its not even christmas season yet, they coulda waited until late November/ early December... and so soon after the regular album...?
...somebody in the band or management must have pointed out that there was no decent "hits" compilation for the casual fan... well, stop complaining cause now there is one.
next they gotta rerelease and remaster the 80s albums with the 12" singles and B sides included, maybe as a second extra disc... just about every other contempary band of New Order's has had the same treatment... but then somebody would STILL bitch...

I'd like to think that some of the non-UK fans had some influence on that position given that there's no current release dates for the Australian, US and South American markets. As a consequence a few of those fans(myself included) have gone online to grab copies(2 in my case; 1 for myself, another for Ronald Kirsch who's within a stone's throw from where I live- recieved both today- thanks Action Records & Tokoloshe Man).
