as i was eating dinner at TGI friday's this evening i heard something familiar; my mother asked me why i was suddenly sniffing around like a bloodhound. the reason: the first bars of who's joe were coming from the speakers in the restaurant. i couldn't believe i was hearing this song in TGI friday's, of all places.

one of the stranger music-related moments i've had.

TGI Fridays? who would have thunk it!! i would have asked if they have satellite radio or if one of the employees got to play their cd's.

Was in jjb sports barnsley trying t shirts on for my impending vacation to venezuela ,was in the changing rooms when krafty came on,ther was no one around so i then proceeded to sing very loudly.A raised voice then asked me "are you ok in there" ,i dont usually do embarrassed but i certainly blushed that day!!:blush: When i emerged from the changing rooms the rather cute sales assistant was pissing herself with laughter!

More spotting;

Forbidden Planet, the London comic store, always plays the most amazing alternative music.

Unknown Pleasures was on when I last went; that made my 30-odd minutes in the shop a very pleasurable experience indeed!

I remember being in a bar somewhere about 2 years ago,thinking to myself "the music in this place is shite". after half an hour i spoke up,complaining to the lads how crap it was-soon as i opened my mouth the Lee Coombs mix of Crystal came on. Naturally my non New Order loving mates thought that was hysterical. :shrug:

i used to work at a gap, and we used to change music reels every month. one month, the album version of blt was on so for the whole month, i got to hear it. i used to stay in the store after my shift if i knew the song was coming up during the reel. it actually sounded great on the sound system.

I think probably the best experience for me is when they were playing Les Baines Douches in Select-A-Disc just off Oxford St. Although that is a record store so somewhat expected...

Bought my LWTUA shirt there that time too.
