Don't get all exited now! This is just the title of a record!:D It features New Order-Sister Ray. recorded in Sau Paolo, Brazil,dec.1st 1988. Does anyone know about this record? It's got something to do with poetry/performance art, i guess. It also features a wierd tribal song, Haitian, done by Debbie Harry,Some song by David Byrne on which he's got the whole bloody jungle sampled, including the "the perfect kiss" froggies;William Burroughs is on it too and Henry Rollins band. Tell me more, Tell me more...
Like a girl, i want to keep you coming...

I have it here in front of me. Lets see:
Side 1
- Debbie Harry - Invocation To Papa Legba
- New Order - Sister Ray
- William S Burroughs - Dead Souls (no, not the JD one!!)
- David Byrne - Song For The Trees
Side 2
- Live Skull - Tri-power
- Pre Metal Syndrome - Living On The Outside
- Karen Finlay - Party Animal
- John Giorno Band - It's A Mistake To Think You're Special
- Henry Rollins Band - Hard
Basically, it's shite. Even the inclusion of New Order does little to redeem it. Having said that though, I'll happily tape it for you if you are sufficiently interested.
No need to tape it for me, i've got it as well. Was just wondering what this album was all about. You're right , it's basically shit
but ido like the parts with William S. Burroughs and Karen Finlay!
Thanx for the offer anyway Old Blue;)
As good as the version on the BBC Radio 1 Live at Glastonbury 1987, presumably - and we all know what a classic inspired performance that one was.... ![]()

Live in São Paulo, Brazil? Hmmmmm. I know this place very well. :)
When New Order came to Brazil in 1988 they brought professional recording equipment (Tascam I guess) and there was a rumour about the release of a live album recorded here. Unfortunately the only track that emerged was "Syster Ray".
You may be wondering whether I attended at this concert. No, I didn´t. Can you imagine the reason? I was a very hardcore Joy Division fan and "true Joy Division fans don´t like New Order". Well, I was only 18 and I have to admit I was a complete idiot for thinking that. :(
