Just got an E-mail from the T in the park website saying that that bloke from the Killers appearing with New Order has been Nominated in the category of 'Most Memorable festival moment'.

Which is absolute bollocks really.

The most memorable Festival moment at T was when the entire PA dropped out. In fact, everything failed, mid True Faith. And the entire audience sang the rest of the song to its completion.

Now that was memorable. :thumb:

I believe it has been memorable for the wrong reasons.

I'd agree with that, i remember when that bloke came on and i just thought 'oh its that guy from the killers' nowt special there.

still this kind of award, well all award ceremonys are just publicity machines to generate hype and make money and keep public interest in popular acts.

Not a good live act indeed but jetstream with A.M. is the worst live act on that weekend. The woman is completely out of tune.

the singing of true faith THE festival magic moment. nobody seemed to bat an eye lid about the amps going and just carried as if nothing had happened

I would have thought when NO dedicated Love Will Tear Us Apart to John Peel at Glastonbury, started playing it at the wrong speed might have deserved a mention and Hooky saying 'John Peel would have loved that.' Mind you, the True Faith thing at T in the Park sounds special.

Whoever put up the link to the video: thanks. Its a dreadful performance though if you ask me.

Easily THE best moment of the gigs I got to this year. In fact one of the most memorable of any of the gigs I've attended since the first back in 89! Right up there with Hooky's AOC solo at Brixton :thumb:
