if lots of peeps are going and needed a place to stay we could get an 8bed or so dorm and not share with strangers. (you know how bad vikings are with mixing with non vikings after all ;-) )

On hostelworld there's a couple of central places around the £12 a night price range.

anyone fancy that?

Actually Dave, that's not a bad idea - as long as no one minds Tricia sharing too!

sharing Tricia? No problem:evil4: But seriously, it's sounds like a good idea, the 8bed room that is! Nice and cheap, just what i need.

A personal open invite to all vikings, you can ALL stay at the 's mansion. Unfortunately Dr  has to oversee the running of the steel plant on that very evening, therefore i will be unable to perform my duties as mine host. However, lady  will be in attendance and she will be absolutely delighted to cater for your every whim. I do have 37 bedrooms you know!!

I'll go with just about anything cheap, as long as I won't be sharing my bed with a family of cockroaches.:D

I'm expecting to be drinking till 4-5 (i hope!) & in the airport again at 6-7am, so I probably won't bother with a bed!

Ahhhhh, I KNEW a fellow boghopper would have the right plan. Only thing is, I'm thinking Ulsterbus to Manc central (60 bills, who's arguing), which gives me a choice.....I can either go home at 0700, in which case, sitting with all the other non english vikings[1] getting bolloxed is a great plan. Or I can go home at 2300 and spend the 15th walking hallowed turf, visiting certain landmarks, in which case sleep may be advantagous, although I do not actually sleep when away from home and in post gig hysteria. TBH it's prbably gonna be 8 hours solid boozing and a semi-hangover thru the lake district.

All this is of course dependent on....

  1. Explaining to other members of family that since I spent all my money on them, my entire next giro is going on NO tickets and beer.
  2. Figuring out a way to get gig and bus tickets that doesn't require a credit card....because I wont have penny number one until about 5 days before the gig, and it takes 5 days for my CC to figure out it's been paid off, that's cutting it too fine.
  3. My sore bits co-operating.
  4. Me working out a way to enter the pit without losing my goggles.
  5. Ulsterbus/national express not being cunts and asking for a valid passport for domestic UK travel.
  6. Nobody finding my greenery. What? you think I'm going to see one of the world's great waster bands and staying straight?
  7. Not getting arrested for committing some major terrorist atrocity on account of having a NI accent.

[1] I've read the Oxegen thread, yous all lived up to your reputation as a bunch of glass gutted numpties, sorry. I seem to recall it was the irish and Greek contingents who kept the party going.
