I didn't like the video...even though it was supposed to be parody and such...New Order has heavy metal rockers... I can't even imagine it!
It didn't seem like it was much of a stretch for Peter Hook though--the leather trousers, long hair, rock star posing--and the codpiece I thought oddly suited him.

The video never ceases to crack me up. :D I thought they all looked strangely at home in costume.

have you heard the interviews where heavy metelers turned up to new order gigs in the usa after seeing the vid, and demanded their money back. obviously they took it seriously.

A few of us male NOOLers quite fancied/fancy Gillian in her TBTHOG gear though..which is why I replied like I did to mil's Halloween thread contribution...Phil just wouldn't do her outfit any justice!!

As crappy as Leppard's music can be, I do applaud his fellow band members, John "mutt" Lange and the band's management for allowing Rick Allen to remain as a member of the band despite the horrific impact of living with only one arm after the accident that left him that way, and adapting thier writing, production & performance methods to allow for Allen's specially-designed drumkit, different playing style and sound. At least he has a great deal more in his retirement fund now than if they just told him to fuck off and live on a shitty disabled pension.
