Crystal dropped from Radio 1 Playlist - Anyone know why?

Saint Liam, Mark and Lard are the only one's I've heard play New Order - that's because they're from Manc. land and know New Order. I heard one of the shit re-mixes ages ago on Pete 'stinging and a minging' Tong - other than that, your fucked.
As it was Mark and Lard's record of the week, and that week has passed... well you can work it out for yourself.
Our only hope is Joe Wiley Cayotee, she loves New Order but I haven't her getting her finger out of her arse. To be honest, I'm quite happy, I don't want every fucker knowing about them, only us old cunts.
I'm listening to Radio 1 now and they've got fucking Lady Maramalade on toast on.... jesus it makes me want to throw a hammer out of a window onto a small badger.
Heard it a few times on their Sunday night program after Dire Dave Pearces Dance Anthems. Radio 1 is pretty shit though innit? Surely you can find something better to tune to?
If an animal could do a radio show I would listen to that, but alas, most of them haven't learn't to talk yet. I used to listen to Talk Radio but that changed to Sport Radio which becames instantly filthy.
I hate Radio 1 except for John Peel and Mark and Lard. Sometimes when I'm flicking aroud the stations I come across Local Filthy Radio and that really is pappa.
Maybe I could train a wasp to press the mic. button.
I have a multiplayer at work but my business partner does not like the order that much.
I still think I can train that wasp.
I think I would prefer silence to 'You've got to dance why you've got the chance' 'I've got 21 seconds to go in the stu-di-o' and jamara-fuckin-quai all day long
Huntsman...couldn't you just whack your partner??? Then you could play NO... I mean dead people don't mind much do they??

I keep asking whether anybody is hearing it on the radio in the U.S. (I'm not hearing it) but I get no response.
Jeff, I've just cut my partner up real bad. He's beeding on the floor but I've got Brotherhood on. I think I can see his leg moving.... no, its his arm. Dance you fucker.... I'll put Paradise on and see how that goes down. Nop he doesn't like that one.
He's dead now, I'll put Low-Life on.
You killer you!! I'm fooking impressed...you are the craziest, or is it coolest, cat on here...and his dying body was dancing to the Order??? How's that for irony???

New Order will never make it in the States the way they have in the UK. Bizzare Love Triangle, True Faith and Blue Monday are the ONLY songs that New Order ever did as far as US play goes and you have to catch an old school or Rewind show to hear one of those. Forget the radio and don't worry about airplay. Do you want a bunch of people who only want to hear the new single at the show? I didn't think so. New Order do not need radio play to be successful. History will shine a very positive light on their career with or without the US market.
I had a cat called Stephen Grimley who could blow chunks, bless him.
I might get chased on my way home tonight from work by the filth, but fuck it, it was worth watching death to get Way of Life on the stereo.
Jeff and Brian: My recollection is that Regret got played on the radio in the U.S. quite a bit when it came out, but that was the only one that ever did. My only concern is that GR is sufficiently successful that they keep recording together.
From the general reaction towards GR I reckon it's pretty certain they'll want to keep recording together
you're right patrick, Regret did get a fair amount of play. Do you live in the states? I don't think New Order will need to be successful here to continue recording. they need to get along together for the duration of the tour before anything else happens. I suspect alternative stations will jump on Turn My Way when they see Corgans name in the credits.
I'm in the Washington, D.C. area. Actually I am expecting TMW to be bigger in the U.S. at least than Crystal, both because of BC and because it's a better song, in my opinion.
Patrick:
I guarantee that it will never be on the radio here in Kansas City, Missouri. I was very surprised, though, when I called a local record store to see if they were carrying the Crystal single, and the guy said, yeah we have it and as a matter of fact it's been selling quite well.
Nat:
Well, I'm delighted to hear the single is selling. I don't know how anybody besides us knows about it.
The fact is, I didn't hear it once on Radio 1 and it still went in at number eight... the trouble is the r'n'b pap they play is all 'the kids' (and I cringe as I type that :o ) know. N.O. to them are like the Rolling fucking Stones were to me when I was a teenager (but of course, infinitely cooler)....:D

I haven't heard it yet? Not even mentioned. Maybe there waiting until the album release date gets closer. Anyways, I'm from Michigan, and lack of musical and artistic taste is rampant here, so I'm not surprised.
Well, as a New Order fan, you should call your radio station and request the damn song :p
Well, you know.. it's a miracle Regret did it to the charts here in Canada, I don't expect much of Crystal.
The only positive side of having those songs in the charts is motivation to do more touring & albums to the band.. otherwise, I really don't care if New Order are in the charts.. I like it, that's the point.
And when I saw in the news that the charts position were decided by radio executives, I don't mind much about charts.. except sales charts of course..
Just to try and make them look better, I bought all 4 copies of Crystal at work today, and I guess now I know what my family is getting for x-mas...convert now you fookers!!!

I heard it on the radio only once here in the US and it was played on a radio station based out of a city college that plays mostly underground tracks. The chances of it getting played on larger stations is minimal. Although for some reason I am not too dissapointed.
