because my little brother 'borrowed' it and still won't give it back. I suppose I should be happy.

I bought 60mph the other week and was playing when all of a sudden my 6 year old nephew starts singing it word for word. It was the first time I'd played it in front of him. I asked him how he knew the song and If he liked it. He said he sees it every saturday and sunday morning on tv and its his favourite song at the moment.

NO just keep on making new fans. My nephews birthday is in a months time so I might buy him Get Ready.

I used to babysit for three girls when i was a teenager (the eldest if off to Uni in Septmeber god i feel old!!!) anyways, they used to like listening to Republic, i did clearly influence them totally, but i remember them asking me again and again show them the New Order Story too! Even all this time on (about 7 or 8 years must be), every time i go round to see them the youngest Sophie asks me if ive brought the Barney video to watch.... bless em....

My 13 year old sister seems open to the Order, she didn't care for Crystal but every other NO track I've forced her to listen to has met with more approval

My older brother got me into new order, but unfortunately my younger brother hates them. I tell people he is adopted.

I actually let him borrow it so he could record it. He wants a few songs from Get Ready, LWTUA, Ceremony and Brutal. I figure since he's just an unemployed, car-less 15 year old, it would be alright.

Another thing: He and I are both adopted (we are biologically related), and are both into NewOrder. My older brother is not adopted, and he is into Poison, Jethro Tull, REO Speedwagon, various hairbands and hardcore rap.

Im 23 right now and have been listening and actually buying their records, CDs since I was 6 years old ... My much older cousin was playing Movement one day while babysitting me over and over again and I was like "I WANT TO BUY THE NEW, NEW ORDER 12 inch" while my friends were like "I WANT HE MAN AND SKELETOR" .... So I guess Im a young/old fan ??

No Brendan...

you are just a freak...but in the best frigging way...dragging up old memories...when my sister was doing the drill team thing years and years ago...the instructor heard me playing blue monday, and forced the 7 or 8 year olds to dance to it...

Good stuff, age isnt really a huge thing. I mean their producing good music now which sounds relevant which is why people are picking up on it. All it needed was to be given a chance which it has been and its caught on.

Well I have an admission to make.... I myself haven't listened to any of "Get Ready" for well over FOUR-AND-A-HALF weeks......but so fucking what????? That's just because I have thousands of other equally good records to divide my time with, that's all. Too many wonderful oldies to dig out of cobwebs - such as old Fugazi/Minor Threat Lps, some of the oldskool Industrial stuff, even, since someone mentioned it on another topic elsewhere, my good old "totally unlistenable" Swans records like Filth, Greed, and Cop !!!
