Someone on CSI (don't ask me which one... NY, Miami) really likes New Order. I have just popped downstairs for a cuppa (OK, I lie, another glass of wine) and 'Elegia' was playing in the background while they did some forensic science thing. They have also played 'Someone Like You' in a previous episode...
I was impressed (unlike the rest of my family who were trying to watch the programme while I yelled, 'It's New Order! It's Elegia!' at the top of my voice) 
aye its been noticed before samantha,vegas seems to be the new order fan, and im sure electronic has been used once or twice as well. just like you i was pointing at the telly ect only to be greeted with shhhhh looks. oh well.:)
I always thought Elegia would be a good tune to chop up a dead person to.

I would have thought Murder would have been better. I always thought Elegia was something to wash your socks to.
Well, 'Crystal' appeared in the CSI music compilation/soundtrack CD....so there's def someone involved there likes NewOrder :)
Just getting into the whole CSI thing. Yeh there is definatley someone who likes them. On season 4 DVD theres an extra bit where danny canon talks abut the music beeing the writers favourites that they have in there cars. So far i can remember crystal, eligia, get the message. Didnt danny canon produce a new order or side project video? anyway they also play a lot of good stuff. Ian Brown, the chemical brothers and doves
